Going out door knocking for Governor Candidate for a couple hours. Wife's birthday is tomorrow so I probably ought to look into doing something about that. I also could probably use a haircut. Yesterdays run was a miserable failure. Think I'm done running for a while, I don't even like it and it causes my broken body all sorts of issues.

This is why bicycles were invented.

I have considered jogging the hood, but the wife won't allow it. After the army crap, doc said my knees can't take the beating. Problem is pooch is fat and I am winded, so riding has now been made a priority. I may be old, but I ain't ready to die, yet. At least not on the couch.

Morning Monkeys.

$2 crap biscuit and gravy with Tabasco to make consumable. Today should be quiet, I am down for that. While I do wish I was WFH on Fridays, at least everyone else does, so the office is bare. Nice.

Saw some DH bikes on a few cars headed north during todays commute. Go rip it peeps.

What the heck do people do for an entire weekend when you can't ride and have to hobble around? I haz a sad, I want to ride my bikes.

Two people from work are headed to Tahoe this afternoon for a few days of riding. I wish them luck. I didn't tell them they could rent e-bikes.

Second dual flush toilet internals installed last night. Goal to make house more efficient still in process. Got our water bill last week and the water usage compared to last year (prior owner) is just over 50%. Our purchase of the Rachio sprinkler unit that only waters when needed has been pretty awesome, it's only turned on the sprinklers once in the last two weeks because we've been getting regular rain. Xeriscape for 25% of the front yard should help reduce our overall water usage as well.

Also have almost a year of electrical usage records so we can see what our electrical usage is and we need for solar, so what our potential payoff time would be. Just need to get my wiring in the garage done so that I can get the insulation finished in there. Efficiency; fuck yeah.

I probably should not have worn beige pants to work, after scrubbing the road rash on my leg pretty good in the shower this morning. Pants are changing to a strange wet brown-reddish hue.
