Rise Against with AFI and Anti-Flag tonight. Wifey is coming with because I couldn't find someone to come with who actually would enjoy the concert (altoualt I got a text from a friend about getting tickets late last night, but plans are in place). Haley was very upset when she found out we were going to Rise Against and she couldn't come; next show she gets to come.

Otherwise? Work around the house today.

Hello all.

I lowered my bars 20 mm last night. I found out on Longhorn this morning that I very much do not care for 20 mm lower bars.

Super sketchy front end--rode off the trail 3 times and popped a tiny hole in my rear tire. Must have been channeling my inner @stoney . On the upside my expensive trailside stabby tire plug thing + a 25 g CO2 cartridge did the trick nicely to fix it.

Installing new microwave. Discovered that because I have no venting to the outside I need a recirculating kit. Nobody carries said kit. Fuck you Sears and HD and everywhere else that I looked into buying this from for never once putting that into ANYTHING that detailed the fucking microwave.

Hey. Hoping to ride a bike today. The crystal ball sees much soccer in the weekend's forcast... Kiddo made the middle school team and is now on three teams. Seems like an inopportune time (transportation wise) for me to get offered a full time job split between the two busiest cities in the Puget Sound... the job is no longer either in Seattle or Bellevue, I would help manage both sites, and could switch between the two offices as needed in an effort to avoid peak traffic times. This makes it work for the longer commute site, plus he said to tell him my number for what I think I'm worth, and he made me wish I'd asked for more--his response to my request (which is equal to what I was making in a higher position at my last company) was, "yes, easy, we can do that."

So... since my bike upgrade just got a lot cheaper... (Buffalo bought himself a shiny new set up and was going to do the same for me, buuuuut.... he's giving me hand me down bike parts and not the set up I'd been hoping for... but it will be less worn than mine... I'm struggling with this because it will just need to be upgraded again sooner)... back to the point. I think I shall put that $ towards skis this year. Mine are delaminating. It's time. Now... skimonkies.... I'd love to hear more about what's new. I'll do some googling but personal experiences are needed.

Muah!

Slept in. Hanging at my aunts house in Paso Robles another day then off to San Francisco. I guess I will have to stick it out for another afternoon of winery tasting. On a side note it appears that Flo will be tracking straight through Asheville but only as a Low. Better get my riding in at Santa Cruz before I head home Tuesday to wetness.

Afternoon Monkeys.

I have about 3 dozen habs ready to fall off the plants. Heading to WinCo for sauce makings. If it turns out to be worth while (my last batch was pretty good), I would be happy to share. I will keep the horde posted on results.

@iab any tips for running faster? Anyone tips on riding faster? I’ve been doing both more, and can go farther each time or longer, but stay the same pace. Ktxluvyabai

Excellent day of mild DH. Saint brakes with oven baked pads worked damn well.

Day started off foggy as hell but ended up sunny. Ended the day with a swim in Georgian Bay.

Big scab fell off my arm into the gondola. Hilarity ensued.

I accidentally introduced Haley to House music yesterday and all she wants to do is listen to it now. I was trying to find something else and this popped up and she zoomed right in to it and asked me to keep playing it.

Now it's all House all day long. She's even buying 7 songs to put onto her playlist because she likes it so much. Interesting dichotomy this one: Punk > House> Moana > Taylor Swift. She's all over the place.
