It rained on Tuesday, it rained on Wednesday morning, it rained last night, it is going to rain tomorrow again. No DH for me tomorrow.

Thought something was funky with my glasses on the drive in this morning. Welp, turns out that I left my contacts in last night. Today will be a long one...

Fun ride in great conditions last night. We waited until 7ish to start and did the entire ride in the dark. One guy wiped out literally 9-11 times in the first few KM, before realizing his front tire was flat.

Coffee....

Tweaked my derailleur hanger last night just grazing a rock on my climb.

I was unable to untweak it trailside.

Most annoying.

Park is closed due to the 6 tornadoes that touched down last Friday. have to drive out to the far reaches of the park, and ride trails I'm not really sweet on, but hey, at least it's a ride. And it's not raining.

Also found out that the first leg of my flight to Ecuador is run by Mesa airlines, flying a Bombardier Regional Jet 700 series. I called yesterday to clarify whether my bike bag will fit, and was told that the door to the baggage compartment is too small (43"x33"), and I can't bring a bike (my Evoc bag is 14"x33.5"). Perhaps @Westy can confirm? No I'm not sure what to do. I could:
a) show up at the airport and gamble that they'll take me
b) rebook on another flight and hope I can negotiate a no-cost change
c) buy a wheel bag, and travel with my bike in two separate pieces: wheels in a bag, the rest of the bike in a jumbo suitcase. I'm really not keen on this option becasue of: with three legs, there's too many opportunities to lose one of the bags, and b) it would be a lot of work to disassemble the bike (I'd have to remove fork, bars, and separate the front from rear triangle).
gah.

New massage guy really beat the shit out of me last night. Ow......
Made oatmeal only to discover we have no brown sugar. I guess that's just how today is gonna be. Need to walk dog, accomplish chores. Pork shoulder destined for crockpot means tacos tonight.

I'd go with "C". But given that it's Mesa, getting the bike to fit is the least of your concerns. :fie:

Not sure what I am supposed to confirm?????

I can suggest that that rotate the bag so the 33.5" part goes through the 44" part of the door and the 14" with the 33"

are there any eyewear companies out there that make performance oriented sunglasses (ie mtb) for those of us with larger heads and faces?

would it be cheaper to just buy a plane ticket for your bike? dress it up in a trenchcoat, fedora, and dark sunglasses?
