Time to retire??

:rimshot:

I like DD casings but I fucking hate mounting them
did that last week. took me four tire levers.
step 1: mount dry, with inner tube. leave for 24h.
step 2: remove tube, mount again, install valve with core removed
step 3: using a compressor, fill with air, seat tire
step 4: use syringe to inject sealant
step 5: reinstall valve core, inflate.

how is it still this hard in this day and age, to install a tire tubeless?!

That said, that DD tire is the first tire since going tubeless (over 10 years ago now) that I have worn out before slashing it. So for me, it was worth it. I used to go through 2-3 rear tires a season*.

Should say it was a 2.3 Agressor on a Stans Flow EX rim.

*which is better than the 2-3 flats per week I'd get before going tubeless

I got one of those tubeless mounting pumps that you pump to 160psi and dump all at once into the tire. Seated both of my EXO DHR2's in one go and no fuss.

ebikes are that fast?
Yes. Class-1 mopeds are REALLY fucking fast uphill. Combine that with me being REALLY fucking slow and you have a significant differential over time... :D
I was in Eco mode most of the ride, the lowest assist level. Eco takes me from being much slower than the average climbing bear to just a bit faster than average. Trail and Boost are quicker yet.

To my credit, I also did a long loop at White Ranch before meeting Shared Skittles. Tired.

My forester fire that was pretty much resolved, only needed completion of one or two small issues by market close fucking exploded about 15min from the close when I discovered one of my reps had their Salesforce screen set up incorrectly and didn't do any of the stuff that needed to be done today (or weeks ago for that matter). The other team manager was hounding people about the 'now, now, now' calls vs. my 'this is a gain/loss issue; people can wait; issue. My FTS has been at epic levels for a large portion of today. One more hour...

What if I told you the Wild Rock'R2 lets u go fast with reduced flats AND mounted up tubeless super-easy? :brows:
I'd say everything is faster and better than those HRII's you rolled around on for the last few months :D

I actually have two of those OEM HRIIs and a DHRII that I need to wear out before I buy any more rubber. The Wild Rock'R2 is on the list of tires I want to try though.

I'm currently wearing out the stock, shitty HR2 on the back. Once that one is worn out, I will install and wear out the one that used to be on the front.

It's soooo much nicer having a trustworthy front tire. The ease of tubeless setup - well, that's just a bonus! :D

Got a Pivot Shuttle in July. It's actually really fun. Been getting in all sorts of miles on legal trails here: all of JeffCo Open Space and Colorado State Parks is legal for it as of this year.
