Picked up my new car today a Volvo XC60 so back in an SUV. Still miss my XC70 wagon but XC90 was not an option. The tech in the car is pretty nice and the seats are the best. Will be much easier to load bikes into the car.

For something different I did a gravel ride yesterday. The event was called unPAved and it used a bunch of gravel roads in the Bald Eagle state forest in central PA. We did the "half," 54 miles and 3,800' climbing. I prefer mountain biking for sure, but this was fun for a change. Pic from the aid station at mile 30. That was the best beer.

My friend Jay (Petervary) did that ride, he said he had a great time, and was well organized for a first year event...

It definitely was well run. My route was great - well marked and easy to follow without gps - good aid stations and an outstanding venue for start/finish. And the weather was damn near perfect. I expect it will be a bigger deal next year.

3.5 days of work, including what's shaping up to be a chill day today, then off to Seattle for a long weekend. This is our winter holiday usual trip back moved up because flying that late in baby girl 3's gestation would be ill advised.

Awful day for me. Get to go to a mediation for a lawsuit that is frivolous. I hate scumbags. But coffee and shed first.

Single digits freedum (if not even colder) where wifey and I spent the night. Hiked up to a fire tower on top of a peak we can see from home at 11500ft.

Morning Monkeys.

I am going away for a couple days this weekend in hopes to regroup. Work ain't so bad, but I am starting to wonder. Wife keeps looking for a place on a river and it sounds like we could be moving this summer.

I told her it's easier to just kick everyone out, but she doesn't like confrontation. :panic:

Desert trip on deck for the weekend, probably should attach that modified jack mount back to the camper so I can reattach the jack and therefore get the camper in the truck.

Mornin!

After 5.5 weeks in mostly BC, methinks this is our last day in Canada for a bit; dropping down into Washington later tonight. Gonna be weird being back in the US again. MAGA!

Staying at a friends house and I just dropped a monster turd that clogged the toilet. Guess I better start plunging.
Get out of my country!

I spent this am in the clinic to get antibiotics.

My bastard cat bit me last night and I woke up with a swollen wrist which hurt like a mofo. Google scared me into immediate action.

The delay lasted long enough for my lbs to open so I could drop off my bike. I am expecting warranty replacement cranks, and dropper. Annoying they failed in the first place, but I guess it’s nice to have new things... I couldn’t ride with my wrist like this anyway.

Stupid cat...
