that should tell me in germany exactly what?
Lulz, yeah Germany probably does not get a lot of DH info since the last good DHer they had was Jurgen Beneke,
who lives here now.

But to the actual point, RIP. Kyle was a good dude that I remember everybody liking. He was always with Aaron Chase every time I saw him at a race. They would be the only pro racers out riding street and shit for hours after dh practice while everyone was resting.
And also that awesome story about when Lopes knocked him out of a slalom race and stared back at him, and Kyle called him out for roid use and Lopes charged at him.

Man, that sucks... wtf happened?! Kyle was great.
Apparently he was fishing solo and his boat went over.
He was a huge presence on the DH scene on the east coast back in the glory days. Him and Chase had epic battles on the DS courses (bring them back please). They would battle for the DH win almost every race as well. Chase was at Thunder a few weeks back, and I got a chance to ask him how Kyle was doing, knowing he had a brain tumor a bunch of years back. He said he was in the clear on that, and he had just been up to ride with him recently. Said he was bummed that his 50cc pit bike was busted. Haha. Other than that, sounded like he was enjoying his family and time in northern Vermont. What a huge bummer.

The Iron horse, Evil, Umass bike crews were intertwined and Kyle was at the epicenter. I was one of the young guys and he was always cool with us tagging along. I thought he was such a legend when he got a WRX as soon as it came out and we went rallying around Amherst in it. So sad to hear that he's gone just like that.

I was expecting one kind of awful about what happened to him and instead got an entirely different kind of awful. He was a true innovator, ahead of his time with his skill on a bike. Seeing him, Chase and Lars at the same local races I was at was as good as it got -- except that time Bryn Atkinson turned up at Plattekill singing Twista songs on the chairlift and proceeded to lay waste to everyone with his other-levelness.

RIP , He may of had a seizure and fell in the water. My buddy (RIP) had a brain tumor and even after it was gone a all clear he had the odd seizure.

Such a bummer, as mentioned by everyone else he truly was one of the most innovative guys back in the day. Ill always remember riding park and street sessions with Kyle and Chase after DH practices at all the east coast venues (and getting in trouble from my coach for breaking my slalom/ 4x bike)
