media blackout
Second day in a row of waking up on my own. Its off as ive become quite accustomed to being woken up by the kids. Cold enough overnight I had to kick the fire up this morning. Debating riding, got a good soaking of rain yesterday.

In hell. Welcome!
Amazon & UPS mishandled two out of three recent orders with parts I need for my weekend chores. Gonna be a sucky world when they kill retail and leave us without real competitive alternatives.

dogs walked by headlamp, then fed. Made a scramble of eggs, red onions, jalapeno bacon topped with habanero sauce followed by a double espresso to take care of myself until lunch. Now to do almost nothing all day and get paid for it.

Reviewed a paper--was moderately crappy so I said so with justification. Now to edit two of my papers and resubmit one of them.

First snow in Quebesland
Same here, at least for the stuff sticking to the ground.

Was going to go up north to ride and cut a tree down off the trail, but reports are in from buddies that they got a few inches of snow. And there is a car on fire on the freeway, so screw that plan.

Going to the moderately flat spot for an easy ride.

Home. Got stuff to do, but too tired to do anything. At least I remembered to take the knives down to Ace to sharpen them.

75km gravel race. Good start, then burped med rear tire as I like to ride fast down hill. At 50km I got a some bad cramps. Sad to see the drop in speed after that. Still a good day of riding in the first snow of the year. I have had a lot of problem with dehydration and need some better stuff to drink before rides. Any suggestions are welcome?

Don't pre-load with water, drink when you're thirsty.

You rode the wicked ride? You are an animal.

I've done 11 miles this afternoon. Roots with zero traction were kinda fun, new Butcher GRID totally sucks on wet wood.
Now G&Ts and "american kobe" burgers - when I find the energy to lift my ass off the couch.

Tried getting up high for one final time this year. Snow stopped us about half a mile further than last year's snow halted progress. Turned around at 10300 ft.

Who the hell pays for knives to be sharpened?

Try doing it yourself, I find it to be a very soothing and enjoyable activity.
