Wow! Did you actually search for the most ridiculous knee jerk anti-ebike article you could find?

The force of impact of an electric bicycle and rider on a pedestrian can be almost four times harder

Let’s pull that apart a bit. F is force. M is mass. V is velocity. D is distance traveled from time of impact to a complete stop. There are two components that matter for this, mass and velocity. Electric bicycles are typically two to three times the mass of non-electric bicycles, and this extra mass is additive to the body weight of the rider. Taking an example, a 70 kg rider on a 10 kg road bike has a combined mass of 80 kg, while if they are on a 30 kg electric bike the combined mass is 100 kg, 25% higher than alone. Electric bicycles are usually legally limited to 25 kph on city streets, while the average cycling speed in Copenhagen is 15.5 kph. Assuming the potential for 9.5 kph higher impact and 25% higher mass, the force of impact of an electric bicycle and rider on a pedestrian can be almost four times harder.
If they're going to pull it apart at least use accurate data. E roadbikes start at around 12kg, FS Emtbs around 19kg and up to around 25kg. Because of the 15mph assistance limit they both go SLOWER on the flat than a lighter roadbike.

I rode my roadbike yesterday and it was lovely. light, nippy and faster everywhere except longer climbs than an Ebike. Average speed taking it fairly easy on a hilly route was over the SCARY AS FUCK 25kph Combined body and bike weight probably a little over the SCARY AS FUCK 100kg in the article.
Using the articles logic all fat fucks should be banned from riding bikes down all hills everywhere !!111!!1

:disgust1: why even bother?
I'm not sure about the rest of the world but us Aussies are getting weak and we now have a thing called "Session Beer" which is a beer with less booze aimed at older people that "can't handle" full strength stuff anymore.
Most of the cookie cutter mid strength beers just make you feel like you've had a beer with a water chaser. Haven't tried any of the hipster brands but I assume it would be similar to drinking the water from a vase after the flowers have been thrown out.

I've been to 'Murika twice, last time about 8 years ago. All their commercial beers were nothing but watery yellow soda, with some honorable exceptions. The microbrewery thing was just starting, so getting a decent non-lager in Rochester and Phoenix proved to be a difficult task. I blamed it on the local way of drinking -grab a six pack of Coors, Bud or some other light beer, stop only to grab another once the first one is done. Same applies to the coffee, Starbucks and other franchise stores had those half liter cups because serving sizes were increasing, but flavor and quality were diminishing.

I'm currently in a family vacation in Brazil -Rio de Janeiro to be precise- and beer here is light and easy to swallow too. Might be related with the fact you usually start drinking at the beach at 9.30 AM :D.

You’re doing it wrong. Session IPAs are meant to complement Bong Shed Sessions and they rule.

To be fair, the micro brewery thing has been going on for 20-25 years, but it used to be like scoring pot in foreign countries...you had to know the hip part of town, and keep your eyes open for clues.
These days there are more micro-brews on the shelves than macro-brews, but not in gas stations in Kansas, (por ejemplar)

I've been loving those Session Ales. Finally a decent tasting alternative that won't leave me unable to ride if I have a few mid-ride beers on a Friday arvo.

IPAs are starting to grow on me... There are a lot of oily bearded hipsters in my area riding their single speed bikes, so there are lots of craft beer choices. But IPAs give me crushing hangovers.

I bet Gary is a dirty hipster.

Too much good stuff in here to not share. http://lizardbikes.com/:sarcastic:

"Forget what you have seen of the old-fashioned style electric bikes that look like something your grandmother would ride, with the added lump of a battery!!"

"This bike is not for everyone, and can accelerate at a rapid speed for off-road adventures. In fact its so much fun, we had to fit a safety switch!!"

"Feel like the path ahead might be bumpy? Don't worry, our 1200 lb/in rear suspension will handle it."

NZ just raised the speed limit for "assistance" to 35kph which is a step into making some proper hooligan e-bikes. The current ones aren't worth the shame, weight, expense and ridicule unless you de-limit them.

Goddamnit, the internet has ruined me. Or maybe it's the bicycle industry. Fuck, I'm not even sure at this point. I'm not sure if this is real or not.

Are we positive this isn't some sort of elaborated trolling? I can't even think this is real...

Session beers (~4% abv or less) originated as a beer that was light enough for factory workers to drink on their lunch break and still be functional enough to return to work.

I saw an even moar generic version of that contraption at a local bike fair a couple of years ago. That's why I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw these guys trying to sell that POS as a legit bike.
Hoy, it has ZOOM forks.

Hey look e-bikes can make one of the most stylish riders in the world look like a goon!! :busted:
Yeah.. that might have more to do with going for a long jump off a flat tarmac path into a grass fade. Dude's basically bunnyhopping a 50lb bike like 40ft+

This is god awful too

by that logic, fixie bikes are a dope thing cause some goon is at the skatepark doing tricks on one...
What logic? its a young stylish rider out having fun playing on jumps n berms on his mountain bike.
Having a problem with that is fucked!
