Typically, each morning I get up at 5:15 and either hit the pool for a swim, or hit the asphalt/track for a run. Then I shower, get a coffee, and make the 45 minute drive into work. I get to work some time between 8:00 and 8:30, at which point I have to check my e-mail and address any high priority issues, and/or dial into a conference call/webex, which is most days. Once I accomplish all of that and settle in, I will check into Ridemonkey, click the "new posts" link, and clean up any spam that I see. Until all of that happens, CALM YOUR TITS.

Hello all. I set my alarm for 5:45 so as to be able to go to the Japanese bakery before work. But when I woke up to the alarm I reset it for 6:15 and happily went back to sleep all cozy.

Tired. Last nights ride was incredibly hard. Hilly terrain with 3 feet of snow is a tough go, even on the groomed trail. And by groomed, someone groomed it but in reality there was about a 6 inch wide part of the trail that you had to stay on or else you were sinking in the snow or going over the bars. And if you stopped, getting moving again on an uphill was near impossible; not helped by when you put your feet down they post holed down a foot. Let me tell you, post holing both feet down into the snow WHILE straddling your top tube is a great way to smash the berries..... But it was fun and a kick in the ass workout.

Morning Monkeys.

24 freedoms this morning and looking to be a clear day. Modern technology kicked my ass yesterday and we shall see what happens.

There was a job posting on LinkedIn that sounded interesting to look into. Hit the "Apply Now" button, it asked to share my profile, asked some basic questions about background, citizenship, military, but no resume. Ok then.

Get home and have an email from an internal recruiter. She says "based on the profile, it looks like you haven't been working for the last 2 and a half years. Is that accurate, or do you have an updated resume?"

Sent my resume, see what happens. I apologized and thanked her for reaching out to me.

My tits are uncalmable, pretty much a rabid wolverine trapped in a dumpster full of coccaine.

From operating manual of a nuclear reactor I once visited:

The secondary scram or emergency system consists of two horns and a smoke generator atop the building. The system is turned on manually in the event of a nuclear accident and the horns continue to sound until the system is turned off. The emergency system can be turned off either at the control console or at the guard’s desk. The smoke generator affords a convenient method for observing wind directions and general atmospheric conditions at the time of a nuclear accident.

Hello from Ajo, AZ! Rode my bike around checking shit out the last couple days. Interesting place. The copper mine closed so they decided to revitalize through art. Anywho, I'm still alive and haven't been kidnapped by a drug cartel.

Mornin!

Per monkey recommendations, we visited Green Man Brewing yesterday for some tasty brews. I had the blonde coffee ale and the wife had a fruity sour. We then retreated to Tupelo Honey for steak, pimento cheese, and pecan pie.

Now it’s off to the river arts district before we must head out of town.

I'm in Kingman area.

Just checked your website. I see you guys were in Havasu a while ago. Stop by here if you guys come back this way. We have some trails and a brewery.
Our original plan was to go there BEFORE Havasu but it was too cold. We'll be back through to check it out sometime for sure.

Yeah, it's been really cold and windy the last few weeks. Supposed to get up to mid-60 freedoms by the end of next week.

Let me know when you guys come back this way. I'd be happy to give you a nickel tour if I'm around (I'm a trucker). If I'm on the road, I'd at least be able to give you trail suggestions.

Good Morning!!

Rarely does a permitting concern benefit my line of work - which is commercial signage. Usually, it's a long list of what you cannot do, and then it's up to you to find the zoning tolerance line you get all the way up to, but not cross. Today isn't much different, except the permitting department is requiring that two signs be oriented in a different manner than what I had submitted. This is a blessing because the building owners - against our recommendation - have their mind set on a whacky placement of these letters...and having the permitting department make them conform to our original design will make me sleep much better at night knowing my name isn't associated with such an abomination.

I hear we may see the sun today.

Taxes done, getting mucho moneys. Father in laws girlfriend/partner/live in wife..... whatever the fuck we call her is in the hospital. It would appear the mechanical heart valve that was never supposed to fail, has failed. She is being rolled into the cath lab now, they are hoping they can repair the valve without major surgery, if they cant..... then it's open her up tomorrow morning.

I had to get mean with the fil, he kept arguing with the doctor that they have to get rid of her cough before surgery.... I find ally spoke up with, "If her heart stops, the cough doesn't matter dummy".
