Yep, it's morning.

Had another interview yesterday afternoon. I feel it went well, but the common questions always come back to my logic on taking one person's direction, clarifying it efficiently and independently, then conveying that to systems, and how do you explain things to systems such that they get explained properly the first time. When I explained that my dad is a very high level engineer in Phantom Works at Boeing and I have had to communicate with him my entire life, that did get a solid laugh and helped, I think. I guess my time in sales is a concern vs. my analytical logic.

Second issue that keeps coming up is why did I not take the development job with Bloomberg years ago. People seem to pause, almost with doubt, when I tell them that JPM offered me 2x what I was making to work for them, while Bloomberg wanted me to move to NYC without a raise.

So hard to make this happen... I still think I have it, but this is a harder process than expected.

Three days of no rain means possible trail ride this week. I'm not sure I remember how to ride trail and tech. Currently sitting in front of my office computer wondering why I do this shit everyday...

Haven't been able to ride my trail bike since early November, fat bike has been getting some good use this winter though.

At Japanese bakery before heading to work. Re thread title: katakana would be used in this setting vs the mix of hiragana and English.

Did you tell them you're a member at Ridemonkey? That might do it.

Good Morning!!

We've now hit two straight days with sunshine. Along with sour cream in the new convenient squeeze tube and online banking, this is possibly the most exciting news I can run with.

Morning Monkeys.

The office got a light dusting overnight, but mostly clear. 29 freedoms is too cold, just saying. This makes the wife and I rethink moving further east into the gorge. Not sure I am prepared for actual winter weather conditions.

FTS is high. I am not feeling the love so much these days in the office, but maybe it's just me.

I actually thought about the fact that about half of the people I talk to on a daily basis are engineers of some form or another and communicating with you guys is like talking idiots on occasion, but then I would have to explain this shitshow, so I passed on it. Then they asked about working with people of differing personalities and the same thought came up, and I passed again.

Last order placed with Jenson for the new Banshee bike build. Next up is to get some wheels built. Lots of bike work to do before spring arrives; build this new bike and strip down the Transition Scout to replace the front triangle.

And FTS at work. Ugh.

I didn't win lottery. Better rush out and buy a few more tickets so I can buy a few more bike parts, or a house, or new car, or ??????

I'm still not 100% recovered from the ailment that afflicted my stomach on Sunday. I will nevertheless attempt my workout class at lunch. I pray that I do not shit myself or vomit.
