Rut terrorist!
The ruts weren't so bad last night, even though everything was like mashed potatoes, but the fucking dog poop is out of control. You are playing "is that birch or poop?" constantly and you just can't avoid it sometimes. Many of the people that own dogs should not be allowed to.

Welcome to Toronto.

Heck sometimes you have to look down AND up for poop. Those assholes who pickup the shit and then hang it from trees.........

My last ride... And also the last ride for my Yeti 575, and my Intense M1... Got rear ended on the drive home with all 4 of these bikes on the back. Were all ok, but the Intense and Yeti's frames are bent... Time for a new bike....

here ya go @jackalope

sunny and mid-40s predicted for the better pisgah...so off i went.

did yellowbuck first. it’s a decent 3 mile road climb followed by a maybe 3/4 mile descent over giant whoop de doos. then a tuff hike-a-bike followed by an awesome steep, gnarly, ledgy, blown out descent. it was fabulous. then rode over to my buddy’s house and had a beer with him. then a 5 mile climb up to the venerable 21 jumps/schoolhouse combo. the final descent of schoolhouse is even more blown out/trenchy/janky than yellowbuck.

i was LE TIRED after the climb up to schoolhouse due to the fact that there were 30-40mph wind gusts in my face on and off during the climbs. maybe also because i wore my wind shell all day and got a bit overheated?

great bluebird day overall. wilsons always delivers. pizza and beer now.

rhodo climb

looked like the high country got a dusting of snow

top o the hikeabike on yellowbuck

cool pisgah chainsaw yard art

this was the last of a flock of maybe a dozen turkeys i spotted

Yup. the rear triangle got pinched between the forks of the bikes that were on either side it if. Its a bummer, that bike was fun to ride.

Upgrade time!! Those bikes don't ride nearly as well as the new stuff.

Agreed! I've got a SB150 that I am demoing. Going to ride the SB130, Ibis Ripmo, Transition Patrol, and whatever else in that range before I buy. I haven't bought a "NEW" bike since 01, everything since then has been used, so I'm excited....

We seem to have completely skipped that step here. What are the temps like over there?
We had a few days with really cold nights, in the range of -10c. But it gets around freezing point really fast. So I need to get going early to have good conditions.
