Proper uncomfortable with that exposure. Goddamn. I think I just prefer to have trees around? And watching that bike fall...
We were doing a group ride a few years ago and I was up ahead climbing and came upon this guy. Not too many people in the summer out there on 2XL tires on a fatbike with rubber boots...but there was at least one. I got pretty close to him and this portion of trail was an abrupt overgrown dropoff that lasted for about 3 miles or so, epic, but you didn't want to fall. I remember looking down at one point, then back up, and this guy was just gone, nowhere to be found, like he just vanished out of thin air. I figured he must have called on his super-powers and just flew around a corner or something. Nope, when I got a few feet closer I realize he had fallen 40 feet down the side of the hill. He was lucky, there could have been huge rocks there, covered by the extensive undergrowth, but he somehow escaped serious injury. We had to form a human-chain to get him back up the hill. His wife was somewhere behind us.

This is the payoff of the trail:

Been some chatter about heading to Joyride before the spring.
I've never been, but some of the crew has. It is closer to me than Blue, so....
You ever been?
I've been a few times. It's a fun place! Great for kids, adults and everything in between. Pretty chill too, can just ride around and watch. Hit the jumps, skinny section, big pump track etc.

Let me know if you go. Been thinking about going again.

An oldie but always gets me stoked anyways...

Those were the days... Bought the VHS cassette tape together with Crusty IV, Black Flys TV vol 2 and Physical Graffiti. If anyone has a digital copy of the latter one, I would be very very pleased.

Dare i say... i didn´t like the first riders part.
His riding looked off in some way. Not captivating. While i assume he was certainly fast, his riding looked timid as if he was simply holding on for dear life on the straights.
The second guys riding however looked much more aggressive, pumping and leaning the bike much more. It looked like fun.
That got me stoked to ride my bike.

EDIT:
Is that a 29er Evil? I guess they really make one look shitty on video then.

Pretty good riding, but those tracks look so damn perfect.
Now i know why all these french worldcup boys are so good at riding bikes. They got some amazing tracks to train on in that series. Go take a look at that channel´s other videos, the tracks are droolworthy!

Nice ones.
They resemble the tracks of beginning to mid of the '00, especially the first one, we were racing in the Austria Cup, like Tauplitz, Forstneralm, Flattnitz, St. Gilgen, partly Afritz, Parschlug (were I built the track), Schruns, old Windischgarsten to name a few. With the exception of the latter all of those races and tracks are gone now.

Have you ever been to Schöckl, Loki?
