The process of facing and selecting our possessions can be quite painful. It forces us to confront our imperfections and inadequacies and the foolish choices we made in the past.

Im all over it alresdy,
The full problem is that i live with my younger brothers and we all have hobbies and stuff and junk, garrage is full of mill, lathe, plasma, mig, tig, torches, too many tool boxes and a sprint car, so that i have room to work cant store shit there. keep the dirt bike in there over winter for riding and maintenence and riding, right now ive got two dh bikes, a trail bike and my super moto bike in my living room, well the smaller of the two living rooms, and gear for moto, supermoto, and mtb everywhere.... In my large living room ive got all the shit to build a motor for one of my trucks. Cant build a motor in the garrage any more without someone aiming an angle grinder at it....
My girlfriend loves it all.......... Not. Shes a messy ass her self though.

Course of action was to ride my trail bike tues and thursday, dh on saturday and desert on sunday.

But i need to clean this shit up so, who makes a DH worth wall mount that grabs the front wheel and wont fuck up spokes.

What i really need is a house with like qty. 4, 2 car garrage doors in the front and qty. 4, 2 car garrage doors on the rear, with a 4 bedroom house above it.
Or wait, a 4 bedroom house at a 10,000sqft shop....

The s̶m̶i̶l̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶a̶s̶s̶a̶s̶s̶i̶n̶ guru of cleaning up aside, the wall mount below has served me well. Hardtail up top, dh bike down below.

350,000 year back log of shit i should do, including inumerable unfinished projects. I bad at finishing stuff really. I designed a rack in my head, fold down, uses a magnet to keep it up when up, then decided id rather ride my bike or work on other projects or ignore other projects and ride my bikes and motos.

Bought a steady rack to test out, its stiff enough, going to buy another for the retired dh bike, and keep the trail bike down for easy access. The SM will go in the garrage.

I can fab stuff, like the exhaust on that very supermoto, entire exhaust from machined flanges to rolled end cap, collector too.... But although it runs, its not techcally finished, need to add two brackets and then weld a slip joint, that was never ment to be a slip. Just one out of 10 billion things to do. It is something I should do rather than play with racks, well bike racks anyway, but I would rather ride.

You really have all those tools and can’t figure out how to fab up a hook and find a stud on the wall to drill it into? Guess it’s way easier to get mommy’s cc# to satisfy your wants.

You really typed all that but you cant read.
Ive used hooks, dont like them. Wanted a basket I can plomp the wheel into. Wanted it now. Want it foldable when the bike isnt in use. Want it to mount to my fireplace.

I dreamed one up. Get some 6" x 0.125, add some tabs for a hinge some 1/2" squa tube for wheel basket, was thinking some small cables to limit it to 90 degreea but allow it to fold down, and a magnet to keep it folded up.
To make two of them I dont have enough shit in the scrap bin to make them the same.
So an hour trip to the steel yard and bolt yard.
Several hours in the garrage. Bunch of work...
I like to make stuff nice so everything gets machined and tig welded, takes forever
Probably the first one ill have a bunch of other ideas and ill shelf it.
Then make two more...
Ive been down this road hundreds of times.
So I work more than I want to already, and ride less than i want to. so i can use money from that mandatory work time to eliminate the extra work which would block riding.

By the time i get done with a rack, if i charged myself what I make it would be a 300$ rack.

I found the steady rack. 80$, dont care for the verticle hinge but i suppose it keeps it from pulling on the mounting bolts as hard, the way I see it it saves me about 440$ in time.

So, if im concerned about a wall hook scratching my reynolds wheels or bending my aerolites, If i can build my little brother a 30k 800hp all aluminum v8, that runs 9000rpm all night long, do you really think im using my moms cc? Yeah ok.

I got it. You leave and I move in. I'll take care of all your baggage. And by take care of I mean use daily. And you become free. Eureka.
Deal.
Or I can just spend some time cleaning shit, selling shit, throwing shit away....
But that shit costs riding time.
