Morning! Worked on the house again this weekend prep'ing for sale. Realtor coming on Thursday. I'll be happy when this is all over.

Frrg. Dealing with contractor today, board meeting tonight, during which an agenda item seems to have appeared regarding MTB access to some 1,000 acres that we are currently using, then next two days in Kingston regarding emptying and sale of Hilarie's mother's house.

Good Morning!!

It's a chilly start to the day...gorgeous weekend. I did stuff and things around the house to try and get ahead a bit. I'm having surgery for a hernia repair on Thursday, and will be down for a bit afterwards. Since we've had about 8 feet of rain over the last few months, you can actually hear the lawn growing, so I knew I had to give it the full Sweeny Todd treatment to avoid having to bale hay when I got back mobile again.

On a videoconference now, from home. This is kind of a pain with the kids around.

Filling out non compete forms is fun. Father visited over the weekend. I was fasting for 2 days. Made a mistake. ended a fast with a small meal. Went ravenous waiting in the restaurant for Korean food.

Also my DJ bike rear wheel is cursed. Constant flats. I sandpapered the rim in places where it could puncture, checked literally everything. I still go through tubes every 2 weeks.

Morning Monkeys.

It's Monderp and I still ain't been paid. They say it will take 2-3 days to fund the card they sent me. It also says there is a $3 change to have the funds transferred to my bank.

World's biggest shit show. At least I got newish (they actually look brand new) tires on the mobile shed on Saturday. She's ready to road trip!

Day1 of my Ayurvedic kicharee cleanse. No beer until Wednesday. And basically veggies and mung bean daal all week.
My kicharee is the bomb so I’m excited to eat it. But ask me again in 24 hours.

Floating down the whiskey river...
FTS Is high right now. Was supposed to get a call early this morning to notify about an exercise we are doing at work for the next two weeks. Call never came. So everyone went to work, we stayed about for an hour and then told it will likely start at noon. The reason this sucks is because when it starts, i will be working 7pm to 7am for the next two weeks. So i got ready as usual, went to work to be told to go home because im still working 12s. Lots of time wasted for us working nights.

Took Cavalier King Charles puppy out for a ride yesterday. Actually, it was more of a 1.2 mile run to see how he'd handle being on lead and running next to me while I was on my bike. Result??? He loved it!!!

Now to switch my brakes to bubba-style so I can have him on the sidewalk/right side/away from cars-street and I don't ham-fist the front brake in error, should I need to emergency stop.....

All you project-based monkeys talking about slow payments, why you no collect deposits up front?
By the time we start a job we've got 50% in hand and we leave with only 10% outstanding.
Far too many douchebags out there to finance other peoples projects.

any time i hear the world "cleanse" in regards to diets, my cranial thesaurus always flashes the word "bullshit"
Yeah me too.
I’ve done this before and Ayurveda makes a lot of sense to me. Not so much hippy hog wash but an Indian approach to health, which is very pragmatic.
Basically not eating meat, sugar or dairy (other than ghee) for a few days to get gut health back on track.

Not standard in my business, but that would be cool.

Mornin!

Death Valley was pretty darn cool. Especially when you turn the corner and see the visitor center tucked among the palm trees like some little mirage.

Off to Joshua Tree today, then it’ll be north to Sequoia, Kings, and Yosemite.

Was there a bloom going on? We hit it during Spring Break a few years back and the bloom was incredible. Geologically that place is just fascinating. Make it out to the Racetrack? Hike up Mosaic Canyon?

No on all fronts :cray:. It was too hot to leave the dogs for any extended period of time, so we just did Zabriskie Point, Artists Drive, and Badwater Basin. I’d love to come back sans camper so we could get out to the racetrack and some other remote places.

I work for a large bank via a large contractor. I am paid per hours worked, but it seems the in-house time tracking system failed to relay the hours I worked to our payroll system, so it was unaware.

The current theory is the one guy who got paid is not currently tied to a project so his funding source is different.

Make a point of it. That remote shit is REALLY cool. Did you at least get to hike up Jawa canyon?

I've heard it can get hot in Death Valley... the two times we've visited the weather has been primo. :D
