Escaped Canada. After a long and stressfull trip went to see my father. He went full old man on me and spent 6 hours talking about every car crash in the area, described in detail each local newscaster and warned me of the dangers of communism and immigrants.

I go home in 30.3 hours.

Still sick. Ears pop all the time and this cough is rather annoying.

Maybe a nice cold drink at the local Mexican food place tonight will quench the fire in my throat.

Tequila will fix what ails you.
If not, at least you'll be drunk.

Anyone experience this before?

If anyone remembers my bacon leg from the bike wipeout last September, I sprained my MCL, lost some skin and generally just took a huge impact to my leg/knee. Everything is good now, but there is a slight soft bulge right under where the knee cap sits. Looking directly at my knees, the left one kind of looks a tiny bit swollen. No pain or anything, except if I try to kneel down on that knee; it doesn't hurt, but feels like I'm kneeling on a squishy bowl of jello.

What gives?

(yeah work is boring and slow today, yay)

I have that on my left knee after two ACL surgeries. It concerned me a little at first, but now I've just gotten used to it. Doesn't hurt, doesn't bother me, and doesn't cause any issues. It's just weird. And hey, we're bulge buddies!!

Conversation over coffee this morning...

Me to GF:
I had a great ride last night, but man my bum hurts having not been in the saddle for months.

GF: If you ride with me later, your ass is gonna hurt even more.

Me: Don’t threaten me with a good time.

Did you break the news to him about the fall of the Berlin Wall and collaps of the Soviet Union?

Have a person doing maintenance at the house who's so broke that if he's buying $100 worth of materials I have to call the supplier to give them my cc info. PITA

In a van.... down by the river
hopefully this rain will knock down and wash away the rest of the fucking pollen
You must be new to this whole "spring" thing? Rain will not help you. Well, it might help a LITTLE bit. :D

Tequila will fix what ails you.
If not, at least you'll be drunk.
:stupid:

nice to know i am immune to pollen and old man talk....
Not having any human contact or ever going outside doesn't really count as "immunity"... ;)

He gonna steal yo stuff
From the impression I get, the guy stealing junk from JBP's house might be doing him a favor. :D

Apparently that field position that was filled is now open. Just got a call from the Director and he's trying to get me in front of the VP who handles the region today. We just discussed comp, he's calling my manager to see about the formalities of swapping teams asap, and has HR on fire. Our payroll cycle ends today and things have to happen on cycle or it's two more weeks before I can swap.

I might have a new job by eod. Kinda cool.
