Watched a bike video that made me want to service my bike and get it ready for spring. Part of me just wants to say fuck it and get a new bike as a present to myself for getting a new job. I'm not sure I can get Wifey on board with that though.

Lola had her first big spill on her bike. It wa quite spectacular.
She takes off chasing her sister (on a 26" mtb, lola on a 16") down our steep canyon road not fully understanding how to stop yet.
Gets the wobbles, Lola starts screaming, mom is yelling "BREATHE!"
, I'm yelling 'pedal backwards like the tricycle!'.
Front wheel spins around she goes over the bars full helicopter lands on her belly.
After calming her down she got back on, practiced stopping & rode the rest of the day.
Its amazing she didnt have more road rash than she did. Just two spots on her belly & knee.
Stoked she still wants to ride.

12 grueling miles on NE singletrack with some fast dudes this morning. That said, FUCKING EBIKES ARE EVERYWHERE NOW. Among them, two dudes in mid 40s-early 50s boasting how they can just ride much faster without getting fatigued. That will work great on our heavily trafficked multiuse trails.

Went to In-N-Out Burger for the first time yesterday after years of hearing how amazing it is. Sorry, but those burgers are average at best and the fries, straight trash. Not sure what all the fuss is about, but I’d rather go to Wendy’s.
