Friday, we had Old Testament rains. My basement - which has endured countless hurricane-fueled rains, has always remained dry. Not this time. We had so much come down in a relatively short amount of time (the already saturated grounds from 3 months of endless rain prior) it just couldn't handle it. Water was pouring from the lower course of block in my basement like a river. Yuk. Whole weekend of cleanup/dry-loc waterproofing has me ready to get back to work problems - where it costs someone else to fix it.
