Had plans to go ride a place on Lake Erie two hours away, but two days of rain seems to be putting that down the pooper. Dog also barfffffed everywhere past night, so leaving her alone all day is questionable.

Maybe I can start building this bike? Told local guy to start the build on my wheels Thursday night. He sends text same night saying they're done. That is service.

Only things not pictured are my pedals and brakes (on someone else's bike as loaner).

Wet and warm.
Seems like a good morning to ride and whip the trail nazis into a frenzy.

I could use a little 420 action. Now that it's legal here I can just go to the store. But I'd have to find a babysitter, caus' they don't allow kids in the store. :/

Thought of taking the littleguy riding, but at 80% chance of thunderstorms, maybe it's not such a great idea.

Let us know how that One dropper works out for you. If my Lev shits the beds again I might go for this one or a Transfer

Fairly easy to change the cartridge in the Lev, I just did one of mine yesterday that I think was 4-5 years old.

Will do. @jstuhlman has one too.

I have a Lev as well. It sags a cm or two now.

You can completely rebuild it, which is nice. It's not too hard to do, though frustrating process during one of the steps.

Mine has sagged twice now. If this oneup works well, I'll probably get another to replace the Lev.

Animal seems to have attacked a Mommy Bunny in my neighbors yard. Its in pretty bad shape. Well neighbor called 911 to report it. Cops come check out the Bunny and leave. She calls 911 again. Cops come back and explain to her not to call them again or she will be arrested. She became Irate when the cops said that Animal Control is busy and will likely be by in a few hours. I went home. Animal Control shows up. Bunny is gone. They want to know where the Bunny is. I told them I don't know, showed them the hole were the babies are. I went home. Happy Easter.

Sick again. Bladder and related pipes aren’t feeling good. Urgent care says no infection. Not sure I’ll be able to get to the urologist before a scheduled flight next week. Either canceling the flight or having a big glass of SIUP.

60 miles, 6350ft vert and 80 freedums on the climb back up lookout.

Ready to eat everything. Already eaten half a big bag of salt and vinegar.

Bison burger is definitely required.

Suspension took about an hour longer than it should have because he is short on standard tools so we had to make a run to HD 2x to get open ended wrenches. I brought a ton of stuff but didn't know I needed wrenches too. A bunch of time was spent teaching him as we went, because he hasn't done car work before. It probably would have taken me about an hour and a half at my house but took 3 at his. My sunroof was a pita and still not 100%; still binding a tiny amount at closing. I need to have an a-arm bushing replaced soon, so I'll have it looked at then.

Holy fuck did it rain yesterday. Went for a walk around the arboretum with the wife this morning to see all the creeks up. Somewhere around 4-6” fell which means I’ll leave the fly rod alone tmw and maybe spin some gravel.

Bike swap booty today. Picked up the set of orange panniers from a friend, which will look outstanding on Crayola™. Won't be the setup I use for bikepacking/Iditarod, but for commuting and the like. Picked up the Salsa Kingpin Delux fork that I wanted as well, for the rack mounts. Thing costs like $500, but this was only $100. I'll sand it down and repaint it sometime later. Also got the GX 10spd derailleur. I'm always on the lookout for cheap 10spd components, although I think I have a life-time supply of cassettes. I take the nice 11spd drivetrain off fatbike1 in the summer and run 10 speed. I did spy a decent X0 10spd shifter, obviously used, but in nice shape. Asked the guy what he wanted for it "oh, let me check my list....". A few minutes later "$75". WTF? This is a bike swap, not a cars 'n coffee. I didn't drive here in a 911 GT3. You can keep your 10 spd shifter, I have two backups already.

Put a few hundred miles on the moto-scooter with a coworker today. Was pretty awesome. Did a big loop up and around Whidbey island. Talks of a haul down to Grand Coulee in the coming weeks and a possible trek up to the arctic circle.

First day starting to feel normal again after a infection put me in bed for a number of days. No beers for another 7 days because of the antibiotics I’m now on. And the mother in-law is here for 5 of them.

careful with the tension on the b-screw on that gx derailleur. i had bad luck with a few slipping off their stop and ovalizing the soft metal they’re threaded through. i ended up usually putting a locking hex nut on the end, which provides a little better purchase.
