My own world inside my head
So bought my suburban about a year ago, and decided on a few things I wanted to do to it.....

First.. windshield. That's done
Second... tires..... stock size
Third... get stock wheels... done
Fourth.... upgrade the cfi poppet style injectors... done.
Fifth.... put a locking differential in the rear....

Parts are showing up..... differential is in the garage..... just waiting for proper bearings..... then I have the ultimate hunting/camping rig.......

I just really hate axle work....... it fucking smells

Somebody brought it donuts and I am usually all over that, but I was kind of "meh" about it today, then somebody came into our work room and told us there was extra conference breakfast we could help ourselves to. Free eggs, bacon, sausage, and muffins. SCORE!!!! Well done crispy bacon too, the way it should be.

There is something unique about old gear oil. :disgust:
And ATF.

I delivered auto parts one summer during college. One of the donkeys working there spilled a quart of ATF in the passenger side carpet. The smell was atrocious and pretty much mandated driving with both windows down, rain or not. :bad:

Good Morning!!

The FTS is pretty strong today....and y'all know me - I'm pretty mellow and upbeat about life and all that. Our Director of Signage(my boss) is beefing with one of the owners(all of our boss) and they are meeting tomorrow to determine how or if they can work things out. My director has the patience of Jesus and he's at full check engine light status from her shenanigans, so if he leaves - the whole house of cards fall....cause you can bet your sweet ass I'm not stepping into the firing squad in his absence. The whole signage division would hit the drain and I'm out looking for a new W-2 to fill out. Gross. I didn't even do anything wrong this time....which is hardly ever the case.

Got started on yard demo last night. At first, I was going to take a handsaw to the over-grown shrubs, thinking I'd be old-school and know it would take longer to finish. Since I will be borrowing my stepson's truck to haul this crap to the dumps, he comes over so we can take the shell off his truck. Then, he goes home, gets his chainsaw, and what was going to take me several hours to do, he accomplishes in about 30 minutes.

The right tool for the job, I suppose........

Colorado says:

Ottawa too says hi too. :flood:
This bridge is now closed to traffic (the waters have risen since then):

This is the second major flood in two years. It's actually being labelled a 1000-year event. The Quebec government is offering up to $100k to repair damage, and up to $200k for people to leave their houses. But it's the last time the government steps in to pay for flood damage.

This reminds me. We were all set to hire a contractor to do our back fence/patio/deck. Then he wasn't answering our emails. Then a neighbour sent us a link to a newspaper article asking if our contractor was the same person that had been arrested in March for attempting to lure a minor, and soliciting porn from a child. motherfucking daft cunt. To think I let him into my home and introduced my kids to him. :butcher:

I hope the long arm of the law does it's thing quickly to this guy.

Now it's back to finding a contractor willing and able to do the job...

@slyfink this is pretty cool. Something your kids can ride to?

friggin eh! That thing's been on the books for so long, I didn't think it was going to happen! thanks for sharing the link. I think the highlight of my boys trip to Kingdom Trails last year was the pump track. They will be stoked on this. It's not even very far away.

I will be off with them for a week at the end of July. Maybe I can bring them there for a bit of digging...

Thank jeebus! I'm going home today, pain be damned. I just laid out to the doctor everything that has been handled incorrectly in the 40 hours I've been here. He knew of a few already that I had brought up to my new nurse (who is clearly more senior and told him), but was a *bit* surprised that a bunch of his orders we just not followed or not for over 18 hours. The face of somebody disappointed and ashamed of his staff, but the eyes of somebody furious.

Through the door I heard him say to the staff following him on rounds "I want to see everyone who touched him since he's been here".

@Toshi what would you do if you found out that your pharmacy and all of your staff had been thoroughly and consistently fucking up prescriptions and orders for the prior 40 hours despite having been told over a dozen times the corrected information?

We have a QA process where this would get reported and evaluated by a team of people. Ours is called "RL events". I have no idea what RL stands for there.

Looking it up that just seems like the vendor's name.

https://www.rlsolutions.com/rl-products

Either way there is a process to handle these things and ideally keep them from happening again.
