Maybe it's a terrain thing. Based on the design it should work well in rock gardens but would probably suffer on high speed breaking bumps or other small high interval impacts.

What kind of trails did you ride?
I was riding in Sedona, so a mix of smooth hardpack and chunk. Aside from the red dirt everywhere and big rock slabs I didn't feel that the terrain was all that different than the east-coast tech I'm used to. I was only there for a day though, so not nearly enough time to judge the terrain properly. It was also the first time that I had ever been there, so it wasn't the best setting for any kind of objective comparison.

I rode the fork on my buddy's bike for about an hour before switching back to a familiar bike with a Fox 36. I didn't ride any trails with braking bumps, so I can't comment on that aspect.

They sure put a good spin on it at the end... "Not great currently, but it shows promise, so with a little more effort, we might want to ride it".

Sounds like it would be cool to try a lighter, less burly (~3lb) version on an XC hardtail. Maybe the amazing stiffness/weight could be a nice alternative to the step-cast like noddle forks.

Yeah, that's weird, I don't think I'd go out of my way to ride one, because lets face it, even if it were the cat's ass I wouldn't buy one, but if offered and easy, why not take it for a rip?

That $1000 price drop tells me the message went to most people's spam folder. Can't say I'm shocked, it got probably the worst reveiws of any current trail fork and cost more than a whole bucket of 36s. That's a tough sell.

$1000 price drop? Suggests that units aren't selling... Hope they can work it out – they sure seem to have a lot invested in this.
Also think a "light" version could sell well for the XC folks.

That $1000 credit... makes getting another one just $1000 more. Could be tempting for fans of the fork.

They’ll be selling for $1000 in about 4 weeks anyway, credit or not.

Not because they’re POS, but due to ‘manufacturing efficiencies’ lol. DW should be trumps press secretary he spews so much shit.

They're most likely just ordering larger batches . economies of scale and all.

did not realize that the 1k was a credit towards a new product, not a 1k refund

" Riders who purchased a Message at the original MSRP, and have it registered with Trust Performance before May 31, 2019, will receive a $1,000 credit toward their next Trust Performance suspension purchase."

part of me wonders if this is an indication that they have additional products in the works.

What's funny is that didn't one of their original press releases or teasers describe that their product has been a few years in the making? So they had years to get everything correct, optimized and relationships formed, but that stuff only happened after selling the first few? Oops?
