Had to set an alarm this morning for the first time in months, so consequently woke up an hour before it. Tired.

I bought an e-gravel-drop-commuter

add me to @jonKranked 's kill list.

Can't wait to tow the kids and ride to work on it. Should make dealing with traffic considerably easier, considering the average speed limit is like 30 on most of the roads I ride.

Off to dirtfest. Cops showed up at my campsite last night, I guess they were looking for someone in a blue car. I assured them I am not that person. :D

Just did a quick out and back trail yesterday. It was a lot of fun. Funny how Tuesday was nothing but roots and then yesterday was nothing but rocks. I'm surprised my exo rear tire didn't get ripped or punctured.

Found this guy trying to hitch a ride.

tonight is ride night. official season opener for us. of the 4 bridges that take us to the ride area, 1.5 are blocked off. Traffic is fiendish. Going to give myself 45 minutes to do a 20 minute trip. I hope that's enough.

Ironically enough, we're parking in the "tick lot" tonight. hopefully there are no ticks.

where the trails are
St. George / Cedar City area is really cool. I worked down there on/off for a year. Beautiful.

Stress is gonna kill me, I swear.
Hope to get out for a pedal after work.

Awesome living in the mountains, fail to set my phones time zone myself sucked, Alabama time is not Georgia time.

Mtb is in limbo until payday next friday. No matter trail tires on the Dartmoor it is, snypers F/R or DHF in the front hmm, 24" rigid ultraluddite™ FTW.

We're further out in Escalante. So far I'm digging it, though we stocked up on beer before we came to Utah.

Told my boss I wanted to FTS and go outside instead. He told me I would not get paid and that he knew I needed money. I hate my boss.

Inch of rain fell last night, foot of snow in the Sierras, who knew? Mt passes that had just reopened for the year are closed again.
@Full Trucker goes to check NOAA.gov to see if that storm is headed this way... because iffun he's gonna ski Shavano in a couple weeks there should be snow.

Since I'm not a resident Monkey, what is that camp you're talking aboot?
Camp is Nüenglish for "bong shed", IIRC.

I may pet more puppies today. I hear they are back at a slightly different spot on campus. :)

Is this a euphemism?
@TN to the White Courtesy Phone, can we get a euphemism check on aisle 28 please?

Stress is gonna kill me, I swear.

'Morning. I got our project go-live date pushed back three months, which I have mixed feelings about. It's a big financial hit to the company, so that kind of sucks, and I feel bad for making the rest of the team spend three more months on this when it's already going on two years. On the other hand, I need the extra time or this would be a disaster, so I am thrilled to have gotten this approved. I was the only person pushing hard for the delay, and now the rest of the team leads are thanking me privately. I could have used the support when I was fighting for it. Fuckers.

Anyway, I am taking a day off tomorrow. I bought a ticket for John Wick 3 in the super HD "Dolby Cinema" theater in the afternoon (not 3D or IMAX). That's a $20 ticket! This will be my first time seeing this format so I'm interested to see what the hubbub is.

two years? please. i've been working on a project at my current job since i started here in 2012, at which time it had already been underway for about 5 years. and we're still probably another 2 years from wrapping it up.

Angel? But to your point - even if that storm doesn't come this way... you gon' have snow.
Yeah. I've a mate in Salida that wants to ski it this spring, and right now it's skiing top-to-bottom... all ~5k vert of it. To your point yeah... it'll have snow into July, probably late July even. But as it melts out less and less of the whole face/bowl/whatever is skiable and it turns into just the Angel. NTTAWWT.

Ether. The answer is ether.

I am a Dolby Cinema convert. The seat shakers are distracting for a couple of minutes but that goes away. The picture quality is most excellent. Blackest blacks you've ever seen.
