I did. I was thinking I may need tape, there was a tiny tear at the valve stem hole. But the tube idea is perfect I’ll add that as well.
you just gotta make sure there's enough clearance between the side of the tube piece and the rim sidewall for the tire bead to seat. but its worked like a charm for me when i have had leaks at the stem.

Our plan is to hit Highland, Mountain Creek, Timberline, Blue, Bryce, Snowshoe, and Seven Springs. Word on the street is that Blue and/or Bryce may not be worth the effort so we might go out to Deep Creek--while not a bike park, apparently there is an area with some really good trail riding.
Deep Creek does have a bike park at Wisp resort. I would say Wisp, Seven Springs, and Bryce are all on par with each other in terms of smallish "mountains" and number of trails, but each is worth a day of riding. I'm not sure if Timberline will be open this year, they've been having issues.

@jonKranked ... Yeah, I knew you were local-ish. I also work for the FDA reviewing orthopedic implants so have read some of your posts with more interest than others may have ;-) We also raced DH in this area in the same time frame so I also have a feeling that we may have encountered each other IRL before but I've never been able to deduce enough info to tell.

if you've got a day and are passing through windham is pretty fun. only a few trails but their jump line is fun, plus the world cup track. (i think they're open this year)

Blue Mountain in Pa is worth it. But it seems that you left Thunder mountain off the list. That seems to be the new "must do" on the East.

Mine has so much freedum it treads on it.

And makes it spit up its food in a hail of freedum and decomposed granite. Though the heat signature of carbon clearly infuriated it to 11.

I can confirm the above! New bike is newer, and very likely faster! About 10-15 rides on mine so far!

Is that your photo?

Socal mountainbiking starts sucking this time of year I think. That's a bigass stingworm.
Ya took it yesterday. It was haveing a early dinner right in the trail, so it was a geezer for sure. I forced its regurgitation with my freedom. Right in a little g-out turn after a steep hill. Luckily I stopped my buddy in time from getting any negative effects from my attack on the “sting worm”.

that is not something I would like to have to worry about.

I saw a squirrel this morning. He gave me a cheerful wink as I rode past.

Every few years I have to do an emergency bunny hop over one of those things. Seen two in the past month already; thankfully I had plenty of time to stop.

Here is an authentic picture of Kidwoo after explaining why, despite being a smooth rider, 29er wheels aren't stiff enough for his liking

n.b. just kidding, I was just waiting for the right opportunity to use this picture, after 2 years!
n.b.2 GG Monarch Camping Weekend, so it's "relevant".
n.b.3 I may have used it already, but I still like it.
