Dog shaped object woke me at 5:20 to go out, discovered she decided sleeping on the sofa was better than her bed last night...

Will try to sneak in a ride this afternoon, but I also have 4 wheels to re-stans before tomorrow's riding plans.

'Morning. I swam before work. It's that time of year when I can't stop sweating after my swims, and the pool allergies leave me a sneezing, snotting mess. Weird that that doesn't happen in the fall and winter. My triathlon club is having it's annual post-race picnic tomorrow night and I will miss it because of work. That's the theme for my summer....missing shit because of work.

Workz.

Have missed the last three Wednesday group rides. Shit is packed and I'm going tonight, even if no one else shows up. I shall ride.

Got a bunch of 50% off lift tickets for Killington, so lady friend and myself have booked off a week in August for a road trip to Vermont. Two days at Killington and then ????? (Kingdom/Burke?).

I believe we also found a loophole in the condo's new parking system. We get 7 free over night passes, per license plate, per month. So I can either just grab another set of plates and wiggle them onto the cars OR........just register our cars under another condo unit. When you register, there is nothing stopping you from entering another unit number and you get no notification via email or such when you do register. hmmmm.

Work is overrated. Three moar days until my 12 days long trip to Yurp. The panic is intensifying.
Vacation type trip this time?

Yeah we are open to suggestions. She seems set on Killington and Kingdom, which makes it easy. Just need to find a place to stay in Burke.

I think we'll do riding Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Maybe do some relaxing stuff on the Wednesday. Anywhere good to swim around there?

ahh got to sleep in. easy shift today 8 to 2 need to pack my shit into the camper so that I can take off Friday right after work and head down to San Juan Bautista for the weekend EMT work. Taking the road bike as there are some spectacular rides to be had in the surrounding rural roads. Picked the apricots off my fruit tree this morning, tasty buggers.

Morning Monkeys.

Shits all broke this morning. After hearing the bill for my thumb yesterday and hearing folks who aren't me getting job offers, I have a bad case of FTS.

I am happy for my coworker, but I can't help but feel slighted. It's my ego, I am well aware.

Back to work meetings. I get a really nice lunch today because I'm meeting a benefits admin for one of my largest plans. Giddy.

Saw this article today: https://www.motortrend.com/news/toyota-gr-super-sport-production-hypercar/

And the following comment made me laugh more than a little:
*Mercedes, Toyota have joined the chat
Mercedes: Hallo
Toyota: Konichiwa
Ferrari: We should focus more on comfort and traditional road car features instead of pushing the 'race car tech for road' angle.

Getting the blower motor in the Land Cruiser replaced. I probably should have done it myself but having Comprehensive Car Care go over the vehicle has some value, too.

Forgot to add, I am thinking about selling the M again. The take home on it that I can drop into an investment account will clear me the Porsche that I've always wanted by the time I've retired or... I can find other better uses of the money long-term. Motivation to do something makes it hard though.

so ferrari is basically taking the "oh well let's make e-bikes" approach?
They didn't actually say that, but whenever a serious competitor gets into their field, they do something else. The only competitors they have had so far are McLaren and Konnigseg.

my point is they're gonna dumb it down to increase market appeal to move more units for continued growth.

Kill List.

i was under the impression your neighbors were far enough away they'd need to use binoculars.

Mornin!

Hanging out in the woods of WA right now. Gonna go check out Leavenworth later, but I'm sure itll make me miss Bavaria.

Ate this the other day in Seattle. Eggs, bacon, cheese and gravy over a buttermilk biscuit. Man was that tasty.

My bike works perfectly fine and doesn't get used enough to justify buying a new one. Realistically we'll probably look into getting Wifey a new car once the warranty on the Infiniti is done, although I do still need to look into an extended, extended warranty.

That’s the thing, though. Get a new bike and then bomb some trails.

Re warranty, here’s one that I had in mind when I mentioned it to you: https://www.dcu.org/loans/mechanical-breakdown-insurance.html

DCU is my main credit union. They are a legit place, just physically in MA.
