Forgot to give you a bike pump on our ride the other day...
Oh yeah... dang! There's always next time.

The Evoc?

You can totally fit a tube and pump in the Lab Austere one, if you have a small enough pump. I've got a Lezyne that works.
Yeah, I picked up an Evoc on eBay for not very much money... it's been pretty righteous. I do like the L.A. one as well... it's way more comfortable actually. Just need to outfit it with the right tools/gear. Lots of rocks around here, I don't like riding without a minipump. I suppose I could chuck a CO2 thingy in there...

where the trails are
Took the dog outside last night before bed for a lap of the driveway.

I hear a mountain lion screaming a couple of times, dog decides it just wants to sit in the middle of the driveway listening.

Even with all our outside lights on it's still dark at the end of our driveway, I tell the dog FTS and politely request she joins me back inside where I won't get eaten by mountain lion.

News this morning announces that a hiking trail near us was closed yesterday because of mountain lions fighting and one dead kitty...

Bikes are still good then! Don't be a bitch.
Beaver Brook is foot-traffic only. No bikes or horses allowed.

It's also one of the reasons it crawls right up my ass anytime a f***king hiker or trail runner complains about "fairness" WRT the .9 miles of trail in White Ranch that were recently designated bike-only.

"Oh waaaaah... JeffCo aren't you going to designate some trails to hikers and runners only?"

Yeah... go fuck yourself.

I have no idea where I am
I mean... it's not new. Got it shortly after @HAB visited last year, based on his recommendation. Oh wait... I also have a newer fanny pack from Lab Austere that I've taken on a few rides and it's awesome, but I don't use it that often due to not having gotten around the strapping a tube/pump combo to my frame somewhere. That's the only thing with that one, it's not quite big enough to hold a tube and mini-pump. Or maybe it is and I have haven't spent the time to figure it out? Who even knows. Whatever. Fanny packs rule for shorter local rides.
I had looked at various fanny packs for local rides but since I started hiking 3-6 hours with 25 lbs on my back my Osprey Raptor 14 feels like I'm only wearing a tank top.

And now that I have a compact water filtration system I will no longer need to haul 3L of water up an hour long climb to start an all day Pisgah epic. The "land of waterfalls" has plenty of water sources.

Is your toof fixed?

Then go ride your bike.
Yes. I'm actually standing at a table in Golden right now, 20 miles away from my bike.

I got access to Salesforce finally, but a ton of my reporting is wrong. At least I can pull up client accounts and it's just internal shit that's broken. Off to eat in my car then drive to Denver for more meetings.

Blame some sort of weird-ass Canadian shit? That'd be my guess.

Si. Busses are slow 'cause Roman traffic is quite an impressive clusterfuck.

Took a tour of the ancient shit today in 98 Freedoms. Inadvisable. Tomorrow I think we will tour the catacombs since it promises to be even more Freedoms.

Now is the time for the wines.
Go sit on the statue in Campo DiFiori and drink beers from the store on one of the corners, or just grab a bottle of vino. . The Gellati place is good too, and the carbonara place is the tits.

Did you have to choke a bitch? Give me your Managers number and I will straighten shit out for you. Go to the Carbonara place... Jim

Didn't we have a thread about bearing pullers and presses recently? My meager searching abilities haven't pulled anything up. I recall @jonKranked suggesting something from Worldwide Cyclery.

Specificly looking for a blind bearing puller that doesn't suck. Is there anything out there that doesn't use impact? I'd think in the day of mega expensive carbon frames someone would have figured out a way to get bearings out of your bike without hitting stuff.

I bought a generic one from ebay several years ago which is the same as most of the "bike" ones but without the bike tax.

Congrats on the new saddle and making another lap around the big orange orb.

[syadastivoice] Since white is the presence of all wavelengths of visible light and the sun provides us with the full range of visible light, then the color of the sun is white, not orange. We just see it as being more orange/yellow as the shorter wavelengths of light (blue/violet) have a larger refraction index. The shorter wavelengths are refracted away from your eyes, so when you look directly upon the sun more of the red/yellow photons make their way to your retinas. This is also why the sky looks blue but is really black, but to be really accurate the sky is 'microwave'. [/syadastivoice]
