kid has started waking up screaming at any point during the night, and won't go to sleep unless a parent is present in the room. this has put a damper on my drinking/black mirror watching/ability to feel like a human being.

what did you get?
I'm passively looking at new, larger TV and have NO idea what all this new tech mumbo jumbo is all about.

Mornin!

Had to wake up a bit on the early side this morning to fetch the old man from the airport. Luckily my body knew this and thought it prudent to wake me up throughout the night in 1.5 hour intervals just to make sure I didnt oversleep. Thanks body.

I did something terrible awful and ran on a TREADMILL this morning. I did that to see how my grumpy leg would feel and it felt great. I ran 8 pretty good miles in one hour with no pain. Progress! The gym ain't much cooler than the outside though...I was dripping wet at the end of my run.

Riding the baggage carousel.

Called in.

End of an era last night. Traded in the Jeep and bought a new car. Sad to see the Jeep go, had a good 18 year run, but new car is ///fancy.

DMV and insurance crap today. Going to be Satan's taint hot. :dead:

has your kid met Mel? Mel Atonin?
I can only speak for myself, but that shit made my dreams even stranger, in a way that I did NOT appreciate.

It was 75F/80% here at 6AM. Planning to join a ride in the evening unless thunderstorms get too bad.
:stupid:

Same here. Just checked weather dicks report and right now humidity is at 92%. The underground parking garage at the lady friend's condo feels like a sauna.

Its also dark as hell and raining here, with chances of thunderstorms around lunch. But, the weather right now is looking to clear up just in time for tonights group ride. We are planning on riding a place that is wet weather friendly...

Also had the crappiest of sleeps last night. Perhaps it was the 3 beers (wtf?) or the ever increasing humidity, but neither myself or the girlfriend got a full night of sleep. And we both feel hungover. Ugh.

Hopefully some coffee will correct this.

Going to continue my reading on DVO Topaz today for the Rune. A coil shock would be nice, but honestly don't feel like dicking around with multiple springs until I get it perfect. I'm also not as particular about the rear end, well not as much as the front end goes.

I like TVs or devices with built in Chromecast. Don't care much for anything on cable, so having that makes watching YouTube or other services very easy from the phone.

it's one of the few sleep aids that doesn't make me feel like shit in the AM. its hit or miss whether it messes up my dreams/nightmares. ymmv.

FWIW it was recommended by a concussion specialist for our kids when they had concusisons.

chromecasts are so inexpensive i wouldn't base a TV purchase around whether or not it has it built in.

Anyone else join or doing the Return to Earth contest on PB?

https://www.trailforks.com/contests/returntoearth

Just found this, so it looks like right now the numbers for the draw to the win the bike are down to 2383 entrants (if I'm interpreting that correctly). That seems like pretty good odds for winning a carbon Trek Slash with full XTR drivetrain. The terms of the contest state the bike has a retail price of $11500CAD.

If you can stomach the price difference then OLED is the way to go, IMO. Truly black blacks are sweet. Other buzzword to look for is Dolby Vision.

i saw it, but its totally not feasible for me to participate. i'd be willing to bet that number of eligible entrants drops below 1000 by the time the contest is over.

Yeah I can see how it'd be tough for some people to get a badge every day for the bike.

I had a path added right outside the condo, so can get the daily badge while taking the dog out for a poop.... It meets the requirements of the contest, so whatever.

Yeah, I’m still in it to win it. But that chart is up to day 17 and I (along with thousands of others, I’m sure) wont get to ride until later today. I’m guessing the number of qualified folks will be up around 8k.
