Too early. Busy for half of today. Painters finished basement and all baseboards yesterday, and it looks really good. Now to work.

2500 yard swim done. The arm I got the covid shot in hurt like hell yesterday and I could not lift it, so I was a little worried about swimming this morning. It felt fine, thankfully, although it got pretty tired the last couple hundred yards. Other than that, it was a decent but easy swim.

Back in my office after having monday/tuesday off and "worked" from home yesterday.

Still not motivation to do anything. :(

Watched one of the neighborhood rabbits eye up some of the new plants. Buddy ya better watch yourself.

Looks like it'll be a cold gloomy and cloudy day here. Fingers crossed for no rain, so I can get out for a ride after work and not get too muddy.

Mornin!

Gotta play catch up today at work, I just couldn't find the words yesterday for my report. Hopefully today will be better.

Cooked a seriously good petite sirloin last night. Its either baby back ribs or street tacos tonight, I have yet to decide.

Looking good boss. How did you route the cables to the swingarm?
Thanks for the reminder- you had asked about external routing.

I installed jagwire's stick-on cable mounts to run the formulas that I had lying around. I got tired of the typical Shimano brake traits- pad rattle and weird modulation, but the formulas were a little short to run internally. I used two stickies and a few zip ties, but I could never get the hose to go across the linkage in a mannger that I was satisfied with. I probably needed additional stickies and a few more zip ties to get it right. Eventually I decided that I really didn't like the lever ergonomics of the formulas and 5 minutes after I posted an ad, they sold for my asking price. I grabbed some maguras to replace and ran those internally as Big Money Corporation intended. The jagwire stickies seemed to hold the frame just fine, but the hose was a little loose inside the clips. I used a little mastic tape to fill the gap and hold it a bit tighter.

So, they did OK, but there's a bigger compromise than I wanted changing the hose routing from factory. It might be easier if you A) don't care about a little wear and tear or B) are willing to be more careful with your routing/have more options.

Hello all. Working 7-4 today, reading the usual mix of cancer, more cancer, and a little trauma.

This is Claritin-D before leaving the house every morning time of year. Because a little extra D in the morning is the best way to start the day.

Thank you. Did the curved base of those things work on the square carbon tubes on your frame?

House has a large quantity of spider egg sacs plastered to the siding. Was considering cleaning up with the pressure washer but the birds seem to be enjoying it as a nesting material. I will let them build their silky domociles and kill no birds with no stones.

What software do you use for the drum tracks?
I’m using Battery. It’s one of the vinyl kits they have as a preset. I’m running it through a few Waves VSTs for compression and grit. I tried to avoid going too far down the production/mixing rabbit hole.

This was my first attempt to do a track with my external hardware synths and effects. I normally do everything with software to make life easier, but it’s time to stretch a little.

NORCAL is the hizzle

and we're ready. I hope to test it out today if time allows.
This is...something. Looking forward to the ride reports.

You've also unintentionally invented something new: A bar-mounted auxillary seat. I can see lots of potential there, like resting your chin on tough climbs, safely cushioning a burrito and/or beer, giving a "friend" a ride, etc. Additional points for the color, it really pops!
