Workshop day today, resealed a hydraulic valve bank, cursed people who don't believe in periodic maintenance then went for a drive to get speedi sleeves.

First time I have heard of Speedi-Sleeves.
They are made in America, well the SKF ones anyway.
They are really handy but can be a pain to fit and when you fit them you have to put some sealant in the groove you are covering or allegedly the Speedi Sleeve can overheat locally if there is an air gap.

EDIT- I still don't like to leave the flange on like SKF have done as some seals are only lubed by oil migrating along the shaft, if there is a flange there that won't work as well.........

The ones I have used have a score just inside the flange that allows you to break-off the flange after installation. Admittedly, I have probably only used three of them in my life...

Tuesday, blah. Head, actually the whole body, is seriously foggy today.

Working from home, so that I can go grab some contacts from the eye doctor today. I've tried to go twice in the last week, on Saturday they locked the door and closed as I walked up to the door. UGHHH

The knobs on that tire are made of thoughts and prayers.

Hello all

Working from Highlands Ranch today

I am very glad I do not have to sit in I-225 traffic every day.
