Just out building some winter trails...one of the few things I can do with my new neck discs at this time until I heal enough for "impact" stuff.

Just a little bit of berm makes a huge difference in being able to get around a tight turn...and likewise, slope in the opposite direction makes it basically impossible, you just slide off the trail (some trailbuilders build dumb stuff here, not as common anymore, but some don't really take the care to figure out if their sections work or not). Also reinforcing the sides so if someone puts a foot down, it doesn't destroy the trail (after packing, it'll be bullet-proof hard). I also find that defining the "edge" helps to keep people away from it. Also building uphill trail on an off-camber slope, building a level trail by pulling snow down and up.
