Lil Man came to hit the BMX track and it's a flooded mess. So we are stuck riding the awful skate park. As much as I like this bike, I really like the idea of the 26" BMX with a better geometry.

25°C (77dumbass) here, and humid as fuck. Guess who is sanding and revarnishing a worktop. Sigh.

Had a lovely ride around the peninsulas yesterday with the wife though, every beach was absolutely packed, including all the microbeaches around Miramar. Finished up at the pub for a couple of pints (actual fucking pints even) and curly fries and then onto the opening night of Jenny Patrick’s new play ‘Hope’, including a champagne reception afterwards, right up my alley that was.

Fatty bicycle was raced in Fat Bike Worlds, mid-pack finish. I'll take it given I've not done a race less than 50 miles in about 15 years and my fatty is more trail than race bike.

edit: People who brake on the run in to the booter on course instead of taking the bypass should be DQ'd

I have been working on a fresh out of the box low/midrange Polygon e-bike the last couple of days. I’ve built or serviced a large range of e-bikes now and feel like I have a reasonable handle on the various design aspects and choices in how to lay things out.

Anyway, I was super impressed by the interior design details. Everything ‘just so’, all features in the right place, cables routed sensibly and the right lengths, nice quality details such as cable grommets, just tidy all around. Big thumbs up.
