And for 10,000$ that could be yours too!
It wasnt designed as a production frame, but rather as a test platform. I am sure there are some things in the works at evil, though. Didnt ironhorse buy their pivot design?

Hey get that thing outta the burly HARDtails thread hehehehe

Ok, so I've perused EVERY PAGE of this thread for aesthetic inspiration on my new hardtail (nicolai BMXTB). Got the build set up already, all black and grey, but can't for the life of me choose a color.

This thread didn't help. In fact, it confused me more. DAMN YOU AND YOUR NICE BIKES. My Surly was ugly, but it made life easy since it only came in one color.

The only thing I haven't seen is green. I'm now thinking a nice, deep green might make a pretty nice bike, esp. 'cuz I ride trails more than urban.

Or should I go greyish blue like I'd planned with the Thylacine???
Baby blue?

Ano silver? Bronze?

God, I'll shut up and stop bothering you all. I'll post pics when I finally get the sucker in hand, whatever I choose.

protigy I really wish you'd get that thing built up! God it's gorgeous. I can just picture it built.. Thompson, XTR, Atomlab, Chris King.. mmmmm!

And Bronze would be a dope colour for a burly HT!

I’ve found that any paint finish can look great, as long as you keep the component selection completely black. If you start mixing black, grey, ti, silver, etc parts, then the aesthetics have to be considered a little more. But with all black parts, a burnt metallic orange can look just as bitchin as matt beige, tennis ball yellow, or black.

Ben, didja happen to get my email concerning a build kit for my HT a while back...? Never heard back from you. I need a bunch of parts, still. Lemme know if you want me to re-send it; I have some revisions to it, as well...

Oh, and thankfully, Nicolai doesn't do ano gold...anything 'pimp' doesn't suit my personality that well. Army green is a cool color, but it reminds me too much of work. I was considering a matt khaki-ish for a while...

Now british racing green seems to be a possibility as well. Would look good in the woods... I still want to find a pic of the ano bronze just to see what it looks like. Found an example online, but I don't know if it's the same as Nicolai's bronze.

it looks good in olive drab/camo.

That's why I don't need a bike in those colors...heh.

when i got it (used) it had a black seat, with white lettering markered red, a red fork with the arch painted black, a black deore shifter with the lettering markered red, and black cranks. i didnt like the color scheme so much, and im replacing things one at a time. no der -- SS, new seat, new cranks, new fork, need a new stem, this ones bent but i love it, and i need a new bar since this one is bent some, (and the bar is actually metallic pink RF riser!)

My rig, .243 frame, 2003 Marzocchi DJ 2, Atomlab wheels, Northshore cranks, Hayes brakes... all the good stuff. This thing rules, any questions about these frames let me know, I love mine.

It's rad, I love the thing. It's bit heavy, but really, who cares? Burly as hell, jumps like a dream. Let me know how you like yours and send me a pic once you get it.

Thanks Monkeyboy, I love the thing. Its a bit on the hefty side, but no matter... it is really stable, easy to jump, and real easy to bunny hop and manual.
