I heard they were doing Nickle, Gold, Green and Red for the colored stanchion options, and of course black on the cheaper models.
The orange one looks like a old Manitou X-Vert.
Having moved from Chi-Town to PHX a few years ago, I know exactly what you're going through. People in PHX are generally full retard, self absorbed douche nozzles. MTBR exemplifies it to it's fullest.
Don't bring up anything Dh/Fr related, people who can't ride technical...
The front triangle is pretty radically different from the revolt as far as its construction goes, but if you look closely at the Phoenix's headtube, there are marks for lining up these cups indented in the headtube itself.
I am sure Pivot will have a media release about it soon, but it looks...
Like I say, if you can't make it better, make it slacker and make it carbon.
Really curious to see what Pivot comes up with, since I have heard them comment on the Glory and say "There is only so many ways to fit that in there" referring to the linkage and the shock.
Also I wonder if that...
Does it mean anything that Chris Cocalis has been in my LBS the past 2 weeks fondling and going over every inch of the 2010 Glory DH that is hanging in the shop?
I wouldn't count on Strait riding a Firebird for long.
I have a pile of both Neurons and DHEA's in my garage...
My LBS has a bigger pile hanging on the wall. They are not that obscure.
If you're in the states, these guys can help you out.
Yup, and if you look, the rear shock is actually pretty short. Like 8x2.5 or probably 7.87x2.25 for 6.6" of travel. The bottom mount is about 3" above the BB and above the lower linkage.
Looked like an alright freeride bike, but nothing special. Then again, when Chris owned Titus, the...
No, but unless they sprinkled some pixie dust all over it, how magical can it be compared to other DWlink bikes, or Maestro, which even DW himself claims are a rip off of his designs.
Pivot's are made in Taiwan, so there is no point to a build quality argument that they are US built like one...
Sorry, been out of the loop for a few weeks.
The bike I posted is the first generation proto of the new 5" AM Soul Cycles. I believe it is going to be called the "Vegas" but don't quote me on that. It is based on the Matador, but has a lighter tubeset and some different angles.
I have been...
Its a 2002 Shiver SC with 120mm of travel. The crowns were cut off and then a pair of older Super T crowns were used to make it a dual crown. Works perfectly with a 20" wheel (enough clearance).
Here's the little ripper in action on it, seems he can handle the 29lb bike pretty well for a 8...
Very Very Cool to see another 20" DH bike for a little ripper. Here is one that was built by my LBS for a fellow little local ripper. The fork setup worked out perfect if you're looking for 20" Dh fork setups:cheers:
Just say NO to Marzocchi in 2008, they are total crap.
I made the mistake of selling my 06 888 RC2X and "upgraded" to a 888 RC3 in February. When and I will emphasize "WHEN" the fork is in one piece, it feels pretty good. Good adjustability, good feel, very stiff but, keeping it in one...
