From what I can work out:
UCI Points Ranking after round 6, Canberra
Greg MINNAAR 1224 points
Sam HILL 1108 points
Gee ATHERTON 1037 points
Steve PEAT 952 points
Fabien BAREL 609 points
Chris KOVARIK 587 points
The reason I say enough with the Sam Hill snipes and lame jokes, is because of just that, they are all now lame and very old. It has been going on for months, even years, and none of it is original any more.
For Sam's family, friends, and dare I suggest even fans, this stuff is now tastless...
Yes it was after the '07 Champs in FW. No, DH is not like road racing where they have a whole bunch of ready-to-go bikes on hand. And that is really beside the point. It was a stupid prank.
The team had six days before the Maribor race. They had to break camp at FW, drive to Maribor and then...
You upset me. I really REALLY care what you're talking about.
I couldn't agree more. The racing has been fantastic, whoever has been winning. But the quality of racing wasn't being discussed. If you want to discuss racing, I would suggest a thread on that, not sponsorship.
And had I not...
Yes, Sam is an introvert and incrediably shy. He's never going to be a showman for the cameras or some loudmouth. And he's critised for that.
No, you're don't know what I was referring to. Someone (or maybe two) messing with a one-off custom paint job and cutting all the brake lines... I...
hehe very clever. :happydance:
I'm like the others and thought... why the hell do we need another thread like this? You caught me quite off guard.
I dunno if Sam would want to wax his brow, tho. It's his signature look. :brows:
This argument is flawed on two points.
I spoke directly with Sam yesterday and he hasn't yet made a decision. So no, Trek DO NOT have Sam, at this point. He may choose them, he may not. He has plenty of offers.
Nor is he an un-personable character. Have you ever met him and got to know...
I did say "... go into a WC photo gallery..." just to illistrate the interest people have in Sam and his riding. And that would include the type of bike he rides. If people weren't interested, and keen to debate the pros and cons of every bike, there'd be no point to any of the marketing hype...
