Ah that blows. I guess they lock it up a bit to stop people playing with the restrictions or something but that kind of non-user repairability is frustrating. I imagine this sorta of problem usually only occurs on the eve of planned riding trips or major rides.

Heh I run a shop that's got 3 shimano trained tech's.... it's borked to the point we can't resurrect it and need shimano them selves to do it as we are locked out of the part that you need to get into to overwrite the bugger (only Shimano themselves are able to open this part of the firmware)...

Dammit, my Ebikes borked. Turned on the shimano etube app on the phone and it said the motor needed a firmware update. So ok update it then...... Drops the bluetooth connection partway thru and then when it tried to reset it just got stuck into a loop and bricked the motor. DOH!! Handy tip...

Yes. The enhanced search is borked, so we're back to MySQL queries which are far less sophisticated.

I just did mine a few months back. Ordered some aluminum replacements off of ebay, they came from GINA and cost like $15. Brakes are all good now.

I had one lever that would get a little sticky when it was hot outside. So I just taped a chunk of a rag to it and would spit water on it when it was hot outside.

...them. Then very lightly (supah' fine wet/dry paper) sanded them down just a touch. Reinstalled seals, and all has been good for about two years now. This set finally started giving trouble, but I borked the seals trying to remove them. Oops. Have some aftermarket alloy replacements on the way.

Said Suburban was hooked up to a travel trailer today. They must also have a friend or relative with their Mercedes GLE and its own travel trailer as I've seen that in front of the same house before, including today. Anyway, both the Suburban and the GLE were sagged way down low into their rear...

It'll either be the final leg, or the final leg. Either way you'll reach your final destination. It'll be fine, well, except that you're flying United, you'll probably be wishing for a borked MCAS.

Search appears to be borked, but I posted earlier about how a person down the street tows a Taxa Mantis. He first had a VW Atlas, then that disappeared and a Land Rover LR4 took its place. As of this week the LR4 appears to have been given the boot, a Suburban High Country with temp tags in the...

$%$ are we there yet daddy? GMT $%$

Can confirm. When the eldest kid borked the Outback's front end on a curb we had to drive it to the shop (about 2 miles away) in the snow and that was a WHITE-KNUCKLE drive through the 'hood. :fie: :fie: :panic:
