    ...what looks like a microscopic saw edge this suggests that a crack started and took several impacts to break completely, you might have cracked the heaset and borked the alignement of steerer tube in relation to the headtube that walloped the headtube before the headset ever broke all the way off.

    ...but the strength of the frame is outstanding. If anything, it'll crack at the chainstay/BB junction, where it's suffered severe denting from borked sprocket grinds. That isn't an issue that bothers me, as it'll be replaced by a race dually in the next 6 months, and relegated to a fun bike...

    ...(which is hardly anything), which is a bit unreasonable with the industry in its current state. Edit: just to give you an idea of how borked .au pricing is, a Dorado DH is worth $2999, and Sherman Slider+ $1699. So that should give you a better idea of how the Fox will retail in the US.
