I will not say I'm a saint and...
This is VERY vandeman-esque, but he lives over in Berkeley. He's the one that chucked a pinecone at one of my friend's (a 100# girl) and we believe he setup the traps in the Berkeley hills. He also attacked one of my coworkers.
I would not be suprised if it is him, but it is a little far out of...
Amazing. You're lending credence to Vandeman, who has done more to help mountain biking in his area than many riders imagine?
Rather than only partially quoting you should include the preceeding pic (have fun sucking them down off the site and then uploading them to photobucket again) and the...
while i agree that the humor in the posed-trash photo is hard to grasp (i don't get it myself), i think that invoking mike vandeman is completely ridiculous. the guy is nuts, and has been a nuisance on trails and on usenet for years.
Did you all read on NSMB that Crist cites the "works" of Mike Vandeman as his source for scientific information against mountain biking? That gave me a chuckle.
Vandeman has his own faq. Here have a laugh...

That is very strange - I stumbled across Michael Vandeman "PhD"s web page last week - just by chance - that guy is a militant fruitcake, I sent him an e-mail to tell him so - only because his webpage had a link that said "comments?" He sent me a very amusing response. Strange that I would happen...
it's vandeman, not vanderham.
either way you spell it, he's a total creepy psycho.
he once emailed the IT dept at work here, tattling on me and a friend that we were subbed on a mtb list using a work account. the IT guy told him to **** off.
Here's a little note I beamed off to that dangerously unstable furball Vandeman at mjvande@pacbell.net:
You, sir, are a complete nutball. The .00005% of the earths surface that is subject to mild and temporary disturbance by mountain bike tires is insignificant in comparison to the land...
Geez what chased me away from a.m-b was everyone else that posted there. You would be hard pressed to find a more closed minded bunch of flaming, elitist trolls anywhere else on the internet.
Vandeman was a pleasent distraction most of the time. :monkey:
