New Whip? New toys for the dependable steed?

Good to know. I'm still getting a feel for this bike, but so far I'm impressed.

New Whip? New toys for the dependable steed?

Gotcha. Might have to consider that. I’ve got the 170mm fork coming so that slackens the ht by about .5 deg.

New Whip? New toys for the dependable steed?

Interesting. Most things I do are particularly stupid. Are you using an offset bushing as well?

New Whip? New toys for the dependable steed?

Took the plunge on some plastic hoops. 3rd day on the bike I flat spotted the stock WTB rims and that was with CushCore inserts. Thought I'd try another first and try out some Conti tires. I've mostly been running Magic Marys the past few years. Wheels are SC Reserve 30 with the I9 hubs. So...

    Riding In Japan...

I live in Japan. I've only ridden Fujimi Panorama and Fujiten bike park. Both are fun, but pretty lacking compared to bigger North American spots. Hope to get out to Hakuba soon for some riding.

The next Shimano gravity group? opinions?

I did 5 years on the M810s as well and actually never changed the oil. They were as good on the last day as they were on the first. Only reason I got rid of them is because I traded my bike in on a new one and decided to upgrade to M820s. Complete garbage. Should have kept the M810s. I've been...

    Brake Dilemma

First race this past weekend on the Guides and I got a podium. Was it the brakes that made the difference? Yes, yes it was. Not really, but they performed perfectly. So glad to be done with Saint/Zee.

    Brake Dilemma

Thanks for info on the pads. I seem to recall that from the last time on Avids. I have high hopes for these brakes.

    Brake Dilemma

Update on the brakes. I got the Guide Ultimates mounted up last night and went for a ride today. I must say this was the first time in a very long time that I didn't think about my brakes when I was riding. That's a very good thing. With the Saints I never knew what I'd get when I grabbed a...

At the shop now. I think I'm pulling the trigger on the Guide Ultimates.

    Brake Dilemma

I've been running a brand new set of factory bled Zees while my Saints were away and I'm having the same issue with inconsistent bite point. It's all over the board and it was amplified up in Whistler last week. I hate dealing with DOT fluid as well, but price, availability, and heat...

    Brake Dilemma

I've been running Saints on my Operator and they had to go in for warranty, shocking right? Anyway, Shimano sent out a new set and now I have the opportunity to go a different route if I want. LBS is willing to swap out the Saints for something else, but I'm not sure which way to go. There new...

    Bike-Discount.de -- Shimano Saint Blowout?

I wish I knew about this place earlier. I ordered 6 tires and some discs 9 days ago and they're already here. Can't beat Magic Marys for $38.

Assuming he's on the same bike he had at PA 2 months ago it's a 27.5" prototype.

what 26" are you riding for 2015?

Raced this relic at the NW Cup yesterday. Obviously the lack of wagon wheels kept me off the podium.

New "trail bike" rides for 2015 (No DH bikes allowed!)

Ignore the DH bike in this picture. Just picked up this '15 Process 153DL about a week ago. I've already ridden it more in the past week than I ever rode my Trance 29er it replaced.

    2015 Fox 40 vs. the 2015 boxxer wc/team

I just got a 15 Supreme Operator with the Boxxer WC and right out the box the fork feels amazing. I'm coming off a coil 40 and would chose the Boxxer hands down. That said, I have not ridden a 40 float.

Will do. We bought a place in Silver Lake and will be moving up there next month. I'm definitely down for some trail work.
