Tricks to set up a Romic on Turner RFX?

Also, you might want to talk to Bonk about the Avalanche on his 02' RFX. Could be exactly what your looking for shock wise, but at a price.

Tricks to set up a Romic on Turner RFX?

So you do like the Sherman breakout? I assume since it's not quite as supple it doesn't have quite as much dive as the Marzocchis? Looks like a very solid fork. The Sherman slider DC fork looks like it should be a very stiff option for a 6" DC. It's a tough call since it's the first year...

Tricks to set up a Romic on Turner RFX?

I had a Fox RC on my 2002 RFX(sold it) and have ridden a demo Romic as well. I also have ridden the Fox and Romics on the XCE. I hate to tell you but the Fox RC is plusher on the small stuff on that frame than the Romic, it's not a matter of proper or improper tuning to get it as plush. The...

    Eurobike Photos - uber special

Nice find. I love the "peep hole" shots taken from about waist level. He must have been using his James Bond belt buckle spy cam!:D

Marzocchi Z2 Atom Race Giveaway Courtesy of Supergo!

I could always use another Bomber. No such thing as too many forks! Maybe not my favorite pic, but a more recent bike pic anyway.

Disc brake question: Avid vs. the rest...

I've got two sets of Avid Mech's and love 'em. On one of my bikes I've got an Avid 203mm rotor up front and the 165mm in the rear. With just the standard 165mm (smaller 160mm for 02' is standard) the power is amazing, any cable stretch and pad wear can be dialed out when you use speed dial...

    XFly Help!?

If I remember correctly, the 00' X-flys had schrader valves before going to the adapter specific ones on 01'-02' X-flys. If those valves are the schrader type then just get a valve core puller and either replace the valve core or just clean up the one you have. Might be an easy fix without...

    The world's lightest saddle....

Yea, the shape of the AX-Lightness looks to be the saddle equivalent of a proctology exam. But I guess for the ultimate in lightness some are willing to suffer??? Like I said before some would be amazed at how comfortable the Flite evo 1 carbon is due to the flex. it's not cushy by any means...

    Repair Stand

At the top of the page click on "User CP" That will give you the threads you've posted on as well as private messages (PM). Anyway, I'll just ask here. Do you have any kind of tips to keep an Ultimate Pro from creeking and squeeking a ton when working on it? I know it's got to be coming...

    The world's lightest saddle....

The selle Italia one was called the Evolution 1, carbon weave flite shaped shell with Ti rails. They haven't been made for awhile now. The later came out with a evo2 with carbon rails as well but just about all of those failed so the evo 1's are the saddle to have. I had to look everywhere to...

    Comments on the SRAM X0

I think the new XO der should be compatible with all their 1:1 ratio shifters. I don't know about XO weight, but the 01' 9.0sl was a pig. The lighter rear derailleur they had was the carbon - look 99' 9.0sl. My 01' 9.0sl weighs 252g My 99' 9.0sl weighs 179g, but it pretty damn...

Also, the Ultimate Pro does fold up pretty compact so it's good for taking it with you to races.

    Repair Stand

Go with the Ultimate Pro stand. I've had one for almost 3 years and it's been great. I've found it much more stable than the lower level Park ones, except for the silver Park shop stand with the weighted base but that costs close to $300. I like the clamp mech on the Ultimate better as well.

    Famous Simpsons quotes

Ralph: " I bent my Wookie" ALSO... Homer: Almost forgot, while I was at the courthouse, I had them change your name. Marge: To what?! Homer: Chesty Larue. Marge: Chesty Larue?! Homer: Just try it for two weeks. If you’re not completely satisfied, you can be Busty St. Claire. Marge: I...

    Maxxis Highroller Duro question

60d is fine for all around stuff, if you are not limited to only the 50 and you want Maxxis for race only, go with a set of ST's if it's an option. I think are around a 42d. They wear real quick but do grip well, they should considering how soft they are. I'm waiting to try out a Michelin comp...

    Hutchinson Alligator?

I've got a set of 2.25 Alligators that I rode a bit over the summer. They had great traction and would hook up on just about anything but had lots of rolling resistance. These 2.25's were bigger than most 2.3 tires out there since they had a enormous amount of volume. I did pinch flat a few...

    Protein Drinks

I'll try to keep it short and to the point. Not my usual long winded responses. SpinCrazy- Since your recently coming off a pretty severe injury I wouldn't go for a bulking cycle right now if I were you. Not due to consuming more calories but rather the heavier and more stressfull lifting...

    Protein Drinks

As far as protein powders go, Kuma is right about the Cytopro. At least as far as taste, solubility, and extra aminos don't hurt(l-glutamine is a key for muscle growth). Honestly, choose which ever powder tastes best and mixes well for your aplication as well as priced with in reason(Designer...
