Mine are great except for poor durability. Mine needed new bearings after 6 months on my road bike. As for customer service, Crank Bros graciously SOLD me a rebuild kit!
Titec has plans to put out 31.8 bars and stems. There will be some "Knock Rated" aluminum models, as well as some sweet looking carbon bars and a carbon stem. I saw them at the Interbike show, and they look very nice. I will get some for my single speed as soon as they are available. In fact, I...
POS bikes aren't always from Wal-Mart. There are no shortage of tools that will fork out 3000$ for a bike and not want to pay 6$ for chain lube. So when they finally bring the bike in after a season of racing or usually triathlons, (tri-geeks are bad about maintenance) the stem is frozen in the...
I have about 8 months going strong on a pair of Ultralight disc hubs from American Classic. I'm not a freerider, but there are big rocks everywhere here! I love them.
That's about right. A fillet weld is any weld that fills the corner of where two tubes or plates meet. Just don't say 'fillay' say fill it'. When I first started welding, I made the mistake of pronouncing it fillay, and never heard the end of it. "Hey Red, you weldin' some steak over there?"
The part about reaching into your heart and your pocket book was in the background of a Queensryche song, the rest was me. I was in the car for 8 hours that day, so I was pretty insane when I got home.
If you're talking about the front wheel, you should be good. Since the disc is on the left side, your shorter spokes should be there, also. Your short spokes on the rear should still be drive side, the disc doesn't sit far enough in to offset the flange more than the cassette.
Heidi, I know what your problem is. This bar you're pulling on isn't attached to your bike! The only bar you should be messing with is a high quality aluminum, carbon or titanium bar. It's obviously the low quality excercise bike steel that gym equipment is made out of that your body is having a...
Just a stupid question, but are you sure you used the right spokes on the right side? I'm asking because I've done that sort of thing on occasion, as I'm sure many have. (At least I hope I'm not the only one!)
I ride a Titus Motolite, which is the bike the Switchblade replaced. The geometry is the same, only the Motolite is non-adjustable 4.5" travel. You can also get a 5.9"? long travel kit which I believe is available for the Switchblade as well. It also has a top tube and seperate seat mast, not...
Ride it, and when it dies buy something better. When that dies, buy something better. When that dies, buy something you really can't afford and your wife/gf will kill you for buying. Ride it to stay awy from her while she's still mad at you. Whne that bike dies, buy something she'll leave you...
You could try Lake MXZ 300 shoes. They are pricey, but there is no better shoe to ride with in the winter. They are water proof, and they have a neoprene cuff that goes 4 inches up your ankle, also. They have a bunch of insulation, and a roomy toe box for big socks. I think you can get similar...
That's when a trail makes an extreme turn and almost doubles back on itself. There are varying degrees of course, but for the most part, you ride East, hit a switchback and you'll be riding West. Switchbacking is a good way for a trail to run down the side of a hill. If it runs straight down...
