I will save the long list of reasons why you should take down this thread and NOT put on organized events on illegal trails and just say this. You like riding, great, but be smart and responsible with this shared resource. These are not your trails kid they are our trails and I want to ride them...
1. I like jumps and those jumps were a lot of fun and well built
2. I've ridden that trail for 20 years in many different configurations and had fun every ride. There have never been a dozen plus doubles on MB before this.
3. I want to ride this trail for the next 50 years with my kids and...
You sounded like an intelligent person for a while there buddy then you start broadcasting to the world about how great other illegal trails are in our area. Do us a favor and shut it! Also, you seem to be downplaying what the ranger told you in you account. Shuttling and DH riders/trails are...
I bent both arms on my XT set so I need some new cranks. Anyone have some that aren't needed? Prefer Shimano XT or Hone 2 + bash. New or close to new.
thanks
My buddy lost his TLD pads today. I think it was on Chuppa Cabra. We rode a second lap but didn't spot them. Anyone find them. They are the Brian Lopes sig ones. Just the cap parts. Ping me if you spotted them.
thanks
I shouldn't even start, but if you think riding a skinny of any length is more difficult, or scary for that matter, than skating those bowls then you obviously have never ridden vert. I've been skating for 30 years and riding MTB for 20 and I am much less scared of dropping a 12 footer on my...
Sorry to hear that. I messed up my hand going on seven weeks ago. Broke a bone and riped a bunch of stuff hyperextending all my fingers. That was my first dry ride of the year. :redhot:
Today was my first attempt back on the bike, to the post office that is. It still hurts pretty good. Not...
Stop doing big drops to flat landings if you don't want a broken frame.:nopity:
The SX Trail is very strong and should last a long time if you don't ride like a cave man. Find a tranny.
Found my keys:banghead:
They were in the back of my truck. I must have put them there when I was getting rope to tie down the bikes. Not smart...
When did you case the step-up? last Sunday? Thought I was going to when I rode Thursday. Managed to nose-it though.
Thinking of riding...
Actually that first pic I took:thumb:
I'm going out there tomorrow noonish if anyone wants to.
Also, I have my Norco Six for sale if anyone needs a good middle travel trail/freeride bike. It's posted in the Norcal forsale section.:oink:
It really is too bad that thing wasn't built better. It would be a killer line. The landing is actually quite nice save for the rock, but that could be avoided by the skilled among us. I checked it out last saturday and it was already un-ridable. I bet it's down by now. As far as visibility goes...
Looks like tons o' fun, the ride that is not the crack to your head. Reminds me of SLO. I'd love to check out that place some time, that is if I'm invited?
Sorry to hear that. Was it locked with a U-Lock? I'll keep an eye out for it. If you bought it from a shop they should have the serial number on file for you. Best of luck.
The water is way colder in Morro Bay than up here. Alaskan current hits Cal right there at the Rock.
I've heard Carmel has some good trails. Never ridden them though.
