If it is a stock spring, it is Green Ti Spring. If you are not sure, just open the top cap and see what's in there.

subject RE: Question - Fox 40 Springs
For the 2005 40 fork, the stock 40lb blue spring is titanium and for 2006-2007, the stock 45lb green spring is titanium. All our other springs are steel.
Uooo... Ti Spring can be very expensive. I was going to get the extra-soft Ti spring from Fox direct and it would cost over $200.00 retail. So, I got the steel spring instead.
Only the Medium stock spring is Ti, the soft and firm springs in the box are regular steel.
Maybe you can try...
I don't even bother with the stock pads. I usually throw it away and install the EBC, everytime when I receive new Hope brakes. But I am running the Shimano pads on my M4 now.
I heard the Kool Stops are pretty good too.
I know, but why not just getting the shims? He already has the stem. But IF he is a Funn fan, then, go for it I guess.
Or he can go for Sunline direct stem mount. I think it is slightly lower than Funn.
You know, you don't need to run the shock the upside down. The cut out on the Shock Link is for the clearance for Revox and new Swinger X6 compersion knobs. Fox DHX, 5th Coil and Old Swinger can run as it is from the factory.
Let see how it goes. Next year's March 3rd is on Monday. But we could organize the event on the day before. I hope the weather will be as nice as Saturday.
That actually good, because I can join the ride and go see Dan on his birthday.
