yea that is a cool bike shop. i would ride to there from my dorm at UMD. I think on thursdays they do a pot luck dinner thing. I could never make it up there though.
i am sure you can find a lot of taurus/sabel wagons in your price range and maybe cheeper. if you go 2000+ ford put a newer designed trans in them and they are more realiable. The big thing with them is to make sure the trans fluid is replaced according to the manual, if not sooner.
why do you have a problem with the FDA baning trans fat? They are baning a deadly CHEMICAL.
It is kind of like baning lead paint in kids toys. Do you think parents check every toy their child plays with? Or better yet grandparents that can't read the fine print about the parduct containing...
How manny of you guys/ gals were hopeing that the last storm would dump some snow on SoMD for some lovely snow riding? I rember riding around college park last year in the snow and it was a blast........ well except for the derailer freezing
why not drop a few trees from were ever the rednecks are coming from? if you drop them right it should stop them or they will high spot trying.
A park by me put up a few "horse jumps" which stops all moterized bikes. bc to get by them you have to raise your bike high enough to get the...
i have the 990 and the weight is the same as a 7 speed cassette. it depends if you are xc / climbing aloot and have to push the rotational mass around.
the weather sucks in Southern MD. i can't wait to get ridine again. my broken right pinky has finaly healed enough to get riding and it is flooding.
we are getting close to 40 days and 40 nights
doesn't specialized still have a life time warrenty on the frames? you can see about getting a replacement. It is realy strange to have a crack around the seat post clamp.
i like the ritchey compounds. they sceem to last long enough in dry weather, but wear fast in mudd. just keep a spair set for the front. they are light and don't take up that much room.
I like the rim breaks too. Avid arch rivels work great once they are set up correctly.
Velociraptors work great for muddy/rocky conditions. the rear paddel just hooks up. the only problem is that they are hard to push around and vibrate on the street. but for mudden they are awsome
