Hello to all. It's been almost a year since I've hopped on the Monkey, and now I'm all healed up and ready to ride. Hope everyone is well! And I've got a new ride now, and it needs to see some dirt, so if anyone ever wants to ride near Greensboro just give me a shout.
The new ride:

Whats up guys
DanW just saw me in the hospital, and told me about the thread.
Damage report:
I'm in good spirits, but will be here for a week more or so. Dumbass driver cut me off.
*Shattered foot, with membrane on bone missing and 1/3" hole in foot. Will likely need skin grafts...
So before I order one, a Manitou Swinger spring will definitely fit the 5th Element?
Will the 5th Element spring retainers work as well or will Manitou spring retainers also have to be ordered?
Some shots from CP this past Saturday...more to come soon...

Have they gone out of business? I'm trying to locate a new Progressive 5th Element spring for a customer at our shop but no one has any.
If they are out of business, are Manitou, Marzocchi, or Fox springs interchangable?
Thanks
I hear there are supposed to be a lot of people at Country Park tomorrow. Rode there today and it was perfect, dry but not dusty at all. I'll be out there only until Noon unfortunately, i have work, but i'll be there by 11.
I like it better than the Mob because it's got a little more weight to it. I mean, I like a DJ/Street bike to be light, but not under 30 pounds. To me it just feels like nothing is under you when it's that light. Also, i think the wheelbase is a little longer, which I like a little better...
I don't mean that lowering it is expensive, but I should have been more clear. What I mean is, I see lots of people going out and buying the highest end Z.1's or Fox Forks and lowering them to under 80mm. It just doesn't make sense to me to spend money for such top-dollar forks with tons of...
The new Zoke Dirt Jumpers have much fatter bolt-on crowns than previously, so you might give those a try. If you crack those (which I can't see happening without something pretty spectacular), then you can simply replace the corwns rather than the entire upper section. The RS Argyle crowns...
Actually I really like the build. I've got a set of 24's waiting to be built, so I can run 24's if I feel like it, and when I put those on, I'll probably micro-drive it for extra clearance riding street.
The only thing that I honestly don't like is the QR 10mm rear axle. I love being able...
The Dirt Jumper 2 is sick. It's perfectly damped for any Dirt Jumping demands, reliable, simple and quick to adjust, and can take anything you can throw at it. And they are much much lighter than they used to be.
I've always thought Fork Lowering was kinda pointless unless you've already...
having way too much fun. The Dirt Jumper is awesome, and super stiff (structurally). And it doesn't feel at all what it weighs. I think 6 pounds with a cut steerer.
I'll have a ride report tomorrow night, but so far it's sick-nasty. It's Transition's "Complete Bike Spec" it's awesome.
Sorry if the pics are a touch dark.
