How do you like it? I have been pricing one with my LBS. He has agreed to let me build it with him after hours which really geeks me out. I love working on my bikes, but not sure I want to build a complete carbon bike by myself.
It doesn't matter...Thought about it at the Sea Otter Classic and the winning Clydesdale time was about the same as the winning beginner and top ten in Sport. There are a lot of sandbaggers in the beginner class anyway.
Awesome book! I am glad to hear that someone who has read it says that the movie is good too. I have read some ohter Krakauer books too: Into thin air and Under the banner of heaven. His stories are great! I can't wait to see it.
I am not a grammar nazi, but it is Steve Prefontaine...I only say that so if people are so inclined, they can google him and get the whole story. There was an article in Runner magazine 2 months ago about him, and I loved the quote about I can take more pain. His story is amazing and is worth...
When I was preparing for the SOC XC ride, I ran a lot too which I think helped a lot. I had a couple of training partners, and the last couple of months before the race, we were riding 2hr 50min - 3:00 hour training rides. The SOC ride was approx 2hrs. The longer training rides seemed to put...
My neighbor just bought the Garmin EDGE 305. It has all the bike functions included. You can download your trip onto google Earth and see your ride. It is awesome, I hope to get one soon. The pictures online don't do it justice. It is a little longer than a standard cyclocomputer, but is...
I bought my Son the Dakar XLT. He does a lot of jumping and that kind of stuff. He also rides XC with me. I can tell you that it is on Heavy bike. I haven't weighed it, but you can tell when you pick it up. Much heavier than my Sugar 2+ and it is kind of a heavy XC bike.
Those were some awesome pictures. I went to the starting line at Cannery Row this morning. I wish I had more time to go out on the course. They have the 130 mile leg today.
Got it PPV. The Liddell/Coutoure fight was lame, but some of the others were worth watching. Cotoure's nose looked like someone hit it with a bat though.
I don't know if that number is a default when the connection goes away. But on a lot of my rides, when I check the data, it sometimes says my max hr is 233. I have never been about 207 and if I did, I don't think I would have been standing.
Not exactly sure what time I am going. The boy has baseball try-outs and after that we will prob. hit the trail. The expert class still has hurl hill, but the beg/sport classes do not.
Yep!! That climb is better know as the grind, and now it is a downhill. The have organized the course in the opposite direction this year. I am going to go ride the course on Saturday, and I will let you know.
