I stopped by the ticket desk about 3:00 and was told 398 Saturday and 404 Sunday. The person at the sales desk said they were expecting 200 per day. Maybe that's why they had so few bike racks on the lift.
All in all, a great day. The Stevens Pass mountain bike park is a welcome addition...
Not that I'm wishing for long lift lines, but I hope there is a huge turnout...something that Joel can take back to his powers that be and show that yeah, this is worth the years of effort and investment.
Went down to Black Diamond and rode around for a couple hours without stumbling on the freeride park. It appears the bike shop has moved too, and I couldn't find it either.
Is there a map or can somebody describe how to get to it? Hope the trails stay this nice for next weekend too.
When the Sierra Club people come to the door asking for money, I tell them I used to be a member and that I'd join again if it came out in support of mountain biking. They get real quiet.
I was out there today. There was so much water on the trails that even if it rains tomorrow, I don't see how it could be any wetter

A few months ago, Mountain Bike Action had a piece about resorts catering to mountain biking and it mentioned Leavenworth, said one of the shops operates a shuttle service. Anyone know anything about this, and whether there are DH trails?
