my feet have been rolling off the pedals forwards not backwards and i've narrowed that down to the lack of feel through the pedals. When i dont feel/able to curl my feet slightly over the pedals i dont really know/feel how much pressure is being put on them. Kinda like riding gloveless if you...
Udi, funny thing is that my old worn out pair of shoes work better for me, my relatively new sam hills don't grip as well as they don't mold to the pedal and offer much feel.
I'm on deity LT pedals so they are pretty thin and they aren't the problem, even have 10mm pins on them which work...
So what works these days? I've been on a pair of sam hill impacts for a the past year or so and haven't been getting along with them at all. I've tried longer pins on my pedals but still have problems with my feet rolling off the pedals. After discussing it with a few of my friends I've realised...
well the track i am gonna be racing on is really hard packed the whole way down and doesn't have any hard braking or loose bits. cutting down the middle knobs it is! cheers for the help guys.
Sigmound, pictures would be great. trying to see how far they went with the cuts.
'size, couldn't find the thread from the first world cup there. the world cup this year didn't have as extreme cuts as previous years.
I am thinking of cutting down a minion f to be used as a rear tire. cutting...
Hey guys, need some help looking for pictures of the tires cuts that were used for the SA world cup. Didn't notice many cuts this year but I remember the first year where they were pretty much running slicks front and back?

****, that sucks man. i have broken two at the same place, it is a very well known problem for hope hubs and the maxle light.
did your replacement axle have a slightly longer conical section where the old one failed? the new updated ones are stronger and so far mine has taken a fair bit of...
nice work on the camera angles man, i am too lazy to spend time setting them up especially when there is such good riding to be done! damn i miss that place already. was there for two weeks at the start of the season.
my little video and edit from that trip, you'll recognise quite a lot of it...
ben - i am already planning next years trip! :D
dump - yeah, its both. we stayed just outside morzine in france, but you can ride into the swiss alps.
ih8rice - it was bareable. bare in mind that this is still very early in the season so the tracks are still in good condition. we were...

had a blast out in the alps, spent two weeks there with my university bike club. big shout out to ben walker for all the help out there and building sick trails!
got two days left here, had a big crash yesterday already. trying to finish the trip fairly injury free. (basically the time for manning up has come and past. :p )
was trying to ride champery but looks like its not going to be sensible with the rain we are getting in the evenings.
also i...
ben, rode morgins today. really nice work there man, love it! finally a place where the berms dont fall away when you are half way through them and there is loads of support. heck, think i love everything about the tracks up there. jumps are all really well made ect.
couple of vids from today:
cheers for the info ben, got it sorted today. i think you met my mates chris and katie. gutted i didn't walk the track coz it sounds like i missed some sick riding.
they did unfortunately give me an 09 cart which is 15mm shorter than the pre 09 ones. no biggie as i just lowered my damper...
just about been out for a week now, already i have killed the bearings on my front hub and snapped my 40 cart. :(
besides that its been amazing. hopefully able to fix my 40 soon so i can head over to the proper hills over super morzine. by any chance does anyone know where the fox van might be...
i just got here, along with 13 other rider from university of bristol bike club. first time in the alps for me, i am on a red banshee legend, the colour scheme that looks like a pack of mccoys ready salted crisps.
really hope the weather clears up soon.
has that happen to a set of my pro 2s too. and it was not with a maxle set up.
got a replacement axle for the hub and good news is that hope have changed the design. the conical section has a lower taper. makes sense as that is where the highest bending moment of the shaft is.
