Alright so I have been out of the mtb scene for a year or two now, just had a quick question as I potentially may have just landed a 888 of the 2008 Specialized Bighit, was just wondering how much this fork was worth to sell, supposedly it is the rc3 without the adjustment knob? Sorry if this is...
Ha no its not my track, it is a local practice track in CT, however the comment regarding sand from the river could not be closer to the truth, its all river silt, dusty when dry, and an oil slick when wet, not a rock in sight.
Been off both bikes for quite a while due to a torn rotator cup (shoulder), anyhoo I have been riding mostly my mx bike and concentrating on the rest of that season while throwing in mtb races in between. Figured you guys might enjoy some moto pics-
Braaaaap
Pedaling movement is a lot different from suspension being so-called "plush" and active. Read up a little more about DW-Link to go more in depth. The deadness you described may be attributed to the 5th element shock that was most likely on the bike.
I hit this on my Ironhorse Sunday, full race suspension setup (that bit me in the ass more on the g-out:( than the landing itself)-Love the Bike-

Actually it may not be blown. It may just be low on oil. If oil leaked out then it could cause the click in the travel with no rebound/compression damping. I am not positive but this may be the case.
Yah my dog was very popular at the races for sure. I thought I saw you then I saw your jersey said Thomas, it was not till I saw the results that I realized the moto "mike" was from you last name. Do you ride moto?
I built a jump line in my yard today, so far I have the pictured jump and a berm then a hip (not pictured). Anyhow I got a few decent pics but for some reason my camera kept taking really blurry shots:help: . Anyhoo I also included a pic from the US open to keep the racerboi content of this post...
