Morning Monkey's. Trying to get back in the swing of pedaling. Rode Sunday, gym last night, and a ride tonight. I'm fairly certain I'm taking Wednesday and Thursday off...
I had a few Surly's, an On One 456 that I can remember right of the top of my head. Nothing high end thats for sure.
But yeah this one is custom. It was a very cool experience to do a custom, intimidating but I'm glad that I got it built.
Yup, you spied an eccentric. This bike is stiff, but I had it built with my abusive nature in mind. So the tubing is a bit tougher than normal.
All of the steel bikes I had before the IF flexed more than this bike.
I have a Trek Top Fuel 69er and this. I think it handles awesome as does my Trek. But thats why they make different bikes.
Also this bike is custom made for my riding style, which is probably why I like it so much.
Morning monkies. Working today followed by a run to the dump to drop off some trash for my g-parents. Then it's off to pick up my new motorcycle. It will be a long day, but worth it.
Morning. Just finished up a morning ride with a fast group of guys. Today will be interesting. With that being said my new bike is amazing, at least in my eyes.
Yes, ti is extremely durable. It is just expensive which is why you don't see them as often. You are correct though you do have to build the bike with your purpose in mind or else you can run into problems. As any frame can break.
Thanks for the compliment.
I'll post it up as soon as I get out. The frame should be very sturdy. That's something important to me, as I will ride this bike hard. I needed to ensure that it would stand up to the task. So I had the frame designed around a very aggressive rider.
Well my IF came in, a Ti Deluxe 69er it is awesome. I can't wait to get out and ride.
On thursday it looked like this.
And on saturday the guys had me ready to rock.
I can't wait to get out and ride this thing. The frame it built up beefier than normal to make it more durable...
Hi Monkeys,
Good weekend over here. I finally picked up my new ride. Custom IF, I'm super excited about it. Now if the ground will just dry out so I can ride.
Morning,
I spent the weekend moving into my new house. A little time consuming but defintely worth it. Now I just need to take care of a few odds and ends around the house, and get ready for the race this weekend. Should be a good one.
That and finish gathering the parts for my new...
Honestly I haven't even checked with them. I put in the order 3 weeks ago. I figure I have 3-5 weeks left and the shop will let me know when it gets here.
I'll send you the design if you PM a email address. It should be pretty cool though.
I ended up going with a 80mm Fox, it's designed around the newer ones with the 51mm offset. The top tube is slopes pretty good so far. However I don't like the looks of the seat tube braces. However that is a good option.
Also I am shorter than you, with shorter legs so standover is an...
