but on the other hand, the general audience finds mtn. biking more impressive because pretty much everyone owns/has ridden a 26" bike, so they personally know how difficult it is to do the **** we do on mtn. bikes.
whereas it's logical, a 20" is more manauverable, easier to spin, is regarded...
for those of you that are STILL admant at having mtn. biking slopestyle in x-games, pick up a bmx video. pretty much any bmx video.
mtn. biking slopestyle is a very young and immature industry. name me the top 5 slopestyle riders, then look into their history and find out whether they used to...
sweet. thanks for posting up the vid! was supposed to go but had some complications at the border. so mad.
could you post up some other vids please? (if you have one of andrew "sherry" shrew on a green sinister DNA and urban camo manitous that'd be perfect).
bang on.
A "new school" contest = "new school" riding. I've personally been to and shot at crankworx slopestyle qualifying, finals, and the ameteur crankworx contest, and I can tell you first hand that there were A LOT of riders who should've been in the slopestyle finals instead of the "old...
sorry man i dont think so. do you remember what he looks like at all? i know it's not me because i've only hoot and hollered after taking a shot... once in my life, and it was of darren berrecloth and slopestyle
Thanks guys. All the shots from the DH race were taken on A-line. Cedric was amazing, he pedalled off the drop, and continued pedalling after he landed, and never stoped pedalling WHILE he was railing the berm (and screaming somethhing really loud in french). My freakin hero.
wow... i had a far better and more mature discussion on nsmb.
and i used to think RM was the more mature biking forum on the net. guess things have changed
Good point, and this is also the basics of photography. 90% of shots you see in a (good) magazine will show both the jump and landing. This gives perspective to the viewer instead of having a "guy in the sky photo."
It's why watching NWD is painful for me, everything seems to be guy in the...
You are right, there is space in the biking world for all kinds of movies. Bike porn (nwd), race (earthed), documentary-style (hypnosis), and a lot more. Unfortunately, that "a lot more" part isnt getting the funding a lot of them deserve because sponsers now see NWD as the funding avenue...
This has been nagging at me for far too long so I decided it was finally time to jot my thoughts down. If you dont want to read all of it just skip to the last part.
This is my honest view on NWD6. You can agree, disagree, whatever, but if your'e going to comment do it constructively, and no...
It's based in Britain but covers a lot about the North American (especially vancouver/victoria/whistler) scene too. We try to keep the focus on younger up-and-comers who rip it as hard as the pros do because we believe there's a lot of talent out there that just needs to get recognised.
