I run mine with a clutch x9 rear mech, 10 speed 34T rear and 32T front. As hard as I try i has not fallen off. No chain guide. Its another one of those pieces of kit that come out that transform your bike - no friction, no noise, less weight. Its a winner
I have got the Sram XO 10 speed cassette mated with a X9 Type 2 rear mech and the Race Face NW chainring. I have a 32T up front and 36T on the rear. Its set up on a NomadC and I use it for trail riding with some jumps and rough stuff thrown in for good measure.
I have never run out of gears...
YIKES!!! Are they the same manufacturer? Look to both have 10 spokes.....
WedSport no less. And I was worried about curbing the thing!
Thanks BlackOhio.
Thanks.
Thanks again
Yeah, the stock tyres were beyond bad. Fine if you want to go sideways at 30mph but my preference is to take the same corner at 70mph and gripping like a limpet. I ummed and arrred about an s2000. It was on my list but finding a quality second hand one is hard and...
Yeah, Ive owned one since December. Initially I was a little dissappointed in the power but once the engine freed up it was a lot different. A mate who owns the Toyota 86 version had his dynoed at delivery and also at 5000km. There was a 15% gain at KW to the wheels!! An insane difference. Once...
I am always completely unsurprised at how many companies allow photos of their new bikes set up in crappo way. Happens more often than not IMO. Forks with uncut steerers, 90mm stems on 'AM' bikes, sloppy chains and cabling as you comment. 'Marketing' hacks in charge of the shoot who dont ride me...
ABA - bugger, I run them tubeless and love the fact I can just stick em on forget em. We're all riding 160mm AM bikes. I cant be faffed swapping tyres out, might take two wheel sets already set up.
Thanks for the advice all.
Whoops, you hit the nail on the head buddy. Departure date is looming and my road bike still has flat tyres....
Samnation, thanks, Ardents are my prefered for all round AM sneaker.
UncleHowie, we booked with Ticket2ridebc.com. We arrive 31/08 and are in town until 14/09.
Anyone, feel...
Hey monkeys, further questions.
A lot of the riding we are doing will be guided back country. We are scheduled for a days shuttling in Pemberton (noted on the Minion recommendation thanks) and also the Lake Tyax ride (ala Shandro/Weir Xtr movie clip), a Squamish day, a northshore day and a...
Some buds and I are heading to Whistler for 2 weeks end of August through mid September. We're old farts celebrating our 40th's and are on the AM ticket. Most of our time will be guided rides outside of Whistler but inbetween days will be in the park.
So, tyres for that time of year? Minion...
