Awesome photo! I'm glad I wasn't that guy bailing on Saturday.
If any of you photogs happen to come across any photos of me during Dual Slalom or DH, my number was 340, I'd sure love to get ahold of them and am willing to either pay for them or give kudos to you when I post them on my Facebook...
What situation with the lift? The fact that they wouldn't run it all day Saturday for downhillers to practice, or the fact that they wanted to shut down the lifts like a couple hours before the Cat 1's and pros would have to go down?
I'm Cat 3 so, I got to go down the mountain almost...
It was a great weekend and I had an awesome time! I thoroughly enjoyed both the Dual Slalom and DH tracks, outstanding job to Chris and all that helped get the tracks ready.

Well I was thinking 300 or less. Preferably less, cause now after I did my budget last night, I can't afford that lol. But "F" it I'm gonna spend that money come March 11th when I get some more cash flow. Unfortunately, I know the Hadley costs about $280 for just the rear hub, well at least...
Word! That sounds real good. I wasn't really thinking about it that way, that can save me a lot of money then not having to worry bout the front wheel much. I'll probably spend the money on a Hadley or Hope rear hub, I've ran a Hadley rear on my '07 Sunday and I loved it. I've heard good things...
lol yeah unfortunately, I'm on a budget this time around. In late spring/early summer I should be able to fork up about $500-600 on a nicer wheelset, and maybe if I'm fortunate I'll be get to indulge a bit get something around the $900 mark. My only issue is, why does just about every rim have...
That's good stuff then, cause while I'm a lightweight, I ride pretty hard, usually giving my bikes a good beating during my runs. Lol I need to work on being a lil smoother.
Thanks guys for the input so far, I'll start checkin' out some of those options. Fortunately I have a friend who works for AtomLab, so I may be able to get some help getting my hands on one of their wheelsets. I'm a light weight guy too, so the pimplites could work very well for me.
I wasn't sure the best place to put this thread, so I put it in the closest related forum.
I'm getting into 4X racing this spring/summer and have been thinking about either outfitting my GT Ruckus 1.0 with a good build or just buying a more 4X specific frame/bike. But my first and biggest...
There's a Yogurtland right across the street from my place, and my girlfriend is ALWAYS going over there. She loves that place, I'm an ice cream guy and still refuse to eat there. But I might break down soon. lol
Orvan!!! Let's go ride, I have a bike now man! :) Cross-country, all mountain, DJ...
Go down to Pacific Beach for the non-riding activities, shopping, clubs, bars, and more.
For the riding, well your best bet is to get with some of the locals, because we generally don't like to speak about them in the forums, just to protect our riding spots.
I'd love to help ya out, but I'm...
Stump Grinder Dirt Club in Santa Barbara will have a race season. They will be hosted at Chamberlain Ranch. Go to www.ridesb.com to get more information.
They are currently building a full on DS and DH courses, so it will be a nice venu.
